About the challenge

The Storyblok x Code & Coffee Hackathon 2025 is your invitation to a month-long innovation sprint, open to developers around the world, 100% virtual and completely free to participate. Whether you’re a solo coder or part of a small team, this is your chance to build something meaningful using Storyblok – the API-first content management system that lets you customise your delivery stack. Whether you're building with Next.js, Astro, Nuxt, or another popular framework, Storyblok is fully composable, so you can use your favourite frameworks to build something amazing.

From Sept 1-30, you’ll bring your ideas to life using Storyblok. Think websites, apps, integrations, or tools, all you need to do is, use Storyblok in your implementation. And yes, there are big prizes up for grabs : a total prize pool of $4,500 + a chance for one US-based team to win a trip to New York City to attend JoyConf NYC 2025!!

Get started

  1. Register on Devpost and review the rules.
  2. Sign up for a free Storyblok account → storyblok.com 
  3. Join the Storyblok Discord server. Get yourself a hacker role and find hackathon channels for all communications.
  4. Start brainstorming on ideas and how you can use Storyblok.

 

Problem Statements

  • Combine the power of Storyblok and AI 
    Build something that creatively combines AI capabilities with Storyblok’s headless CMS to deliver smarter content experiences.
  • Build Better Content Accessibility Tools
    Support content creators in making accessible and inclusive content directly within Storyblok.
  • Enhance Developer Workflows with the New Storyblok CLI
    Leverage the Storyblok CLI to improve automation, migrations, and developer workflows.
  • Bring Live Preview to React Native
    Bridge the gap between Storyblok’s real-time preview and mobile development by enabling live preview support for React Native apps.
  • Open Track: Innovation Playground
    Create any innovative project or solution that excites you, using Storyblok as a Content Management System.

Requirements

What to Build

  • A working project that uses Storyblok at its core.
  • Your project can be web, mobile, or any platform — as long as it meaningfully integrates Storyblok.
  • Projects may be new or existing but must be updated during the hackathon to qualify.

 

What to Submit

Participants must submit via Devpost and include:

  • Project Overview - what you built and why.
  • How you used Storyblok.
  • Tech stack used.
  • Code snippets + Public GitHub repository.
  • Screenshots + a working demo video/URL.
  • (Optional) Link to the live Storyblok space.
