Thanks!!

Thanks to Kelsey and Rory who invited us to join them at Legoland the day after Sydney finished school.
It was AWESOME!! Sydney really loves to pretend she is part of the lego family that is out in the parking lot.

Rory is one of Sydney's favorite friends of all time. And he feels the same way. Kelsey told me that the day before our adventure Rory was playing with another friend and told him that he was so excited to go to Legoland with Sydney. Danny asked why don't you take me? And Rory said, "well it's sort of a date for Sydney and me." Where do they get this stuff?

Good thing Rory didn't see Sydney kissing this other boy

They were serious about shooting the mummies. So was Kelsey! She's a real sharp shooter!

It was such a fun girls day, just Mom and Syd.

Even though Sydney didn't know it was a date, she kept trying to hold Rory's hand all day. And in true man fashion he soon tired of the public display's of affection.

Our magnanimous benefactors.

They were so tired by the end of the day that they fell asleep with this stranger!

Preschool Graduation

Last week, Sydney had her preschool preschool graduation. They dressed in costumes and sang lots of songs in spanish, well as much spanish as they could remember and then they just made up the rest. Sydney was adorable and a wonderful dancer. We are so proud of our little Syd!!

Grandmama and Grandpapa were able to come and watch her too! These two are such good buddies.

Did I mention we LOVE smoothies?

So thanks to craigslist we were able to sell enough stuff to buy a new to us blendtec blender. As you can see everyone is excited about the improvement to our morning green smoothies. Since Rylee is teething (4 teeth on top at the same time) her mouth hurts and she hasn't been eating much. Good thing this girl is serious about her smoothies!

5 years old

Sydney turned 5 yesterday....and BOY were we excited. She started off her special day with a special cereal that she got to pick out, then it was off to school in a LONG sundress, she was the star for the day, especially when she busted out her birthday cupcakes and watermelon for snack (the kideroos didn't know there was yellow squash and beets in the cupcakes...but they gobbled them all up). Her good friend Eva took her to the park to play for a while so that Mom could go set up the princess tea party and Dad could get dinner group dinners ready to deliver (thanks Maria!).  Then it was off to Grandmama's and Grandpapa's to get our party on...following the Princesses orders we served tea sandwiches, pink lemonade tea, there were flowers and candles on the table, and 1 cupcake with 5 candles in it.

Grandma (aka super Mom) helped me sew a new dress up dress in time for Sydney's party (read we started the night before). It was purple and just happened to match the dress Rapunzel wore in the new movie obsession in our house Tangled.  Sydney showed up dressed up in her Christmas dress since it is glittery and I don't let her wear it for dress up. She happily changed into the new dress when she saw how GLITTERY it was. We are fans of the glitter here, good thing grandma has suede couches so that she can always remember us.

Pretty excited about the glitter. She would run her hands on the skirt and get glitter on them and then rub it on other stuff, our clothes, her sister's hair, and face, and everywhere else on her body as I discovered today during every diaper change.

She's getting pretty professional when a camera comes out. Wonder why?

Present were a hit. I was amazed that she waited ALL day long to open  them. We didn't finish dinner until 6, she was a very patient princess.  She is also very sweet and appreciative. When she would read who the  present was from she would run over and say thank you with a big hug  even before she had opened it.

(notice how her dress matches the tangled dolls dress? who's pretty awesome? me.)

This is one of my favorite pictures of the night. Rylee just looks like she's waiting for a chance to swoop in and cause some havoc. That tongue is trouble.
