Neighborhood Fun!

It has been so nice outside lately and last week I took Daxton to the Dinosaur Park with my friend Krystal and her kids. He had never been there before and he loved it. He is loving this nice weather and he wants to be outside playing with his friends every chance he can get. He is finally at that age that he wants to play with friends all the time and if he sees them outside, he begs for us to go out so he can play with them. It is so cute!! Krystal is/was our neighbor but sad to say they moved yesterday to Idaho. I have been very sad to see her go for a couple different reasons. This was the first time I had ever had a close friendship with one of my next door neighbors and Nate and I loved hanging out with them. Also, they had a little girl Daxtons age and they really loved playing together. Anyway, I have been sad they are gone but we are excited for them that they are embarking on a new adventure. Anyway, here are some pics of some fun days outside.

Cruisin around the house! He can finally drive this by himself and he LOVES it. He told me he needed to wash his truck yesterday!

Also, a little baby update for you all. I went to my appt last week and it seems my little guy does not like to be upside down! Now, he is breached! Before we left on the cruise he was head down, ready to go but now he is just chillin in there kickin my hips and punchin my ribs. When my mom heard about this she said, "looks like you got another monkey on your hands!" Great!!! So, if any of you have any advice on how I could get him to flip, that would be very helpful. Pretty sure that will feel like a roller coaster ride if and when he does. Anyway, all is well - excited to meet him but the nursery is not ready so neither am I!

Mexico Cruise!

We are back and yes, we caught the boat this time! Not that we had a chance missing it, Nate's dad made us get up at 3:30 in the morning so needless to say we were there a few hours early. We went with Nate's parents, his little sister Katelynn, his little brother Daniel and his wife Brittany. We had so much fun, I can't believe how fast it went. Daxton absolutely loved the cruise and he was very upset when we got off the boat. We went on the Carnival cruise to the Mexican Riviera (Puerto Vallerta, Mazatlan, & Cabo San Lucas) for seven days and here are some of the events that happened:

- Brittany and I got really sunburned the first day at sea and then spent the next couple days soaking ourselves with aloe vera.
- My legs/ankles/feet swelled up like the nutty professor for most of cruise due to the sunburn and sodium in the food. That was pretty much the joke in the fam for the week.
- Daxton LOVED camp carnival (basically daycare for kids) for the first three days and then wanted nothing to do with it after that. Thank goodness we were with family and he was in seventh heaven being the center of attention.
- We rented a jeep in Puetro Vallerta and cruised around the city. We also got to see the jungle were Predator was filmed. Dan took us to a scary taco stand where we got fifty cent carne asada tacos - can't believe we didn't catch a parasite!
- Nate & Katelynn went para sailing in Mazatlan! (Lame you can't do anything when you're prego!) Nate ate squid and octopus and LOVED it!
- We played in the waves pretty much all day in Cabo on lovers beach where Nate & Dan saved a guy from drowning. I had to rent snorkel fins that were a mens size 13 because my feet were so swollen they wouldn't fit in anything else!
- Every time we got in the elevator on the ship, Dax would sling his spider man web at everyone in the elevator and then turn it on himself and fall to the ground. He got the same desired reaction every time.
- Nick Swardson was on our boat (he's the guy in Chuck & Larry that plays Jessica Biel's gay brother and he's also in Blades of Glory and Reno 911) and Nate & Dan thought they were his groupies! Ha ha!!
- Favorite foods were: fresh pineapple, frozen yogurt (24/7), Lobster, chocolate melting cake, bagels for breakfast, grapefruit & turkey sandwiches from the deli! (Can you tell I am pregnant?)
- Every night we played continental rummy as a family on the lido deck.
- Daxton got pulled up on stage at a show one night and surprised us all. There was a ventriloquist that said the kids that wanted to meet his puppet could come up on stage. So he went up by himself, told the guy his name and how old he was in the microphone in front of 500 people and gave the puppet a hug. Nate Jr in the making!!
- This one's for the family - "Do you like cheese?"
- Nate's dad thought I was starting to get toxemia (yes, I was retaining THAT much water) so he had me go down the infirmary and get my blood pressure taken. Luckily it was normal therefore I did not have to stay on my back the rest of the cruise, that would have been a bummer!

Easter 2008

So here are the Easter pics, better late than never right? Like I said in my previous post, I was consumed with the twilight books for one week and then trying to catch up on my housework and laundry the next so it has taken me a while. We had a great Easter and every year that Dax gets older, these events just get better. We were able to spend time with family and we had a great dinner at my parents house. Daxton was so cute this year and was soooo excited about the Easter bunny coming and of course about the candy and gifts. This was the first year we had colored Easter eggs and he thought that was pretty cool!
