for the ladies

shirt & skirt #1

shirt #2 (it's blue & white pinstripe...I know it's hard to see). Skirt's obviously going back because it's poochy in front.

shirt #3

skirt #2
That shirt is not new...W & K might recognize it.

skirt #3

Image
the angel/parachute shirt...I like it but it's obviously not coming with me
Image
shirt & skirt #4...A & I agree the shirt needs a belt
Image
shirt #5 would be untucked and with a different skirt
Image
Shirt #6. I love it...also got it in red. Which one should I keep?

ETA: Got another present in the mail from JCP yesterday. Another mediocre button-down shirt. A *cute* black skirt that's a leetle too short. And shirt #1 in teal. It's pretty but the problem is the sleeves are sheerish (same deal with shirt #6...sleeves have a band of lace on top). How many things can I get Mom to fix?? Need to keep looking. Sigh.

An, I'm with you on the big & shiny. :)
Wendy, I was going to return stuff this weekend but can hang on to it if you want to see it.

San Fernando Mission (aka the high desert)

Image

Thanks to the new lds.org and Robby, I was able to find a legible map of my mission. (It's the long one between Death Valley, Kings Canyon & Sequoia NPs.) San Fernando and Santa Clarita, where the mission office is located, are at the southern tip. If you go to new.lds.org and sign in, you can use this maps tool to look at ward and stake boundaries and locate temples and meetinghouses, among other things. The Professor's already been playing on it for hours.

ETA: In my temporary obsession with maps, here's a closer look at the southern knob of the mission. Look how close the ocean is!!
P.S. Forrest won the Official Family Guess-Off with his guess of Temple Square!

guessing time

Time to guess where I'm going! Here's the official list of 335 missions. Everyone gets two guesses. The closest guess gets a prize when I get back. Anyone who guesses the mission gets the grand prize.
