Requirements

Submit any quality project that benfits students. The submission must be presented in a video, source code made accessible, and a description of the project.

Project Requirements:

  1. Functioning App: Projects should aim to be fully functioning, providing a tangible solution or prototype that addresses the outlined challenge.

  2. Specific Tools: While there are no specific requirements regarding the use of APIs, or datasets, participants are encouraged to utilize whatever relevant tools and resources needed to enhance the functionality and effectiveness of their projects.

  3. Topic / Categories: Projects should align with the overarching theme of benefiting students. However, within this theme, participants have the freedom to explore various categories such as educational tools, productivity apps, or platforms for student engagement. Projects may address specific challenges or focus areas identified by the participants, but creativity and innovation are highly encouraged.

  4. Platform: Projects should be made easily accesible for students on a chromebook, laptop, desktop etc.

  5. New vs. Existing: While new projects specifically developed for the competition are encouraged, existing projects are also eligible for submission provided they meet the criteria outlined in the rules. Existing projects may be modified or extended with new functionalities to align with the hackathon's theme.

Submission Requirements:

  1. What to enter: Contestants are required to submit a video demonstrating their project in action. The video can provide a walkthrough of the app's features, highlight key functionalities, and showcase its usability. There are no strict limits on video length, but concise, informative, and quality presentations are preferred.

  2. File Upload: Provide a way to access your working submission for judging and testing (Github for example). Must enable access to source code for judging (open source).

  3. Other: Contestants must provide an entry name and description that effectively summarizes their project.
