Christmas Eve at Helm Headquarters. While it's lights outside the crew get the Luminaro bags opened and filled with sand and places around the front yard. Jacob, Andrew, Gage and Jared and I were the only ones I got pictures of, but I know there were others.

Music is always a big part the holidays at the Helm Home. Everyone pulls out their instruments and makes some music. Other times Grandad sits down at the piano and starts playing and pretty soon he has a whole choir around him singing.

Christmas Eve dinner is always yummy clam chowder!
Hanging out in our new Christmas pj's.
Christmas morning has a slow start in the Helm Home. I think everyone was up but the parents. So we just hung out, relaxed (especially Daisy dog there) and waited.
What's in there Daisy???
All lined up and ready to go.
Fun times! We are very blessed. Merry Christmas!
We decided to make each others gifts this year. I made Gage and Jared snakes, Jared made Gage a football tee and me a ladle(he did some really beautiful wood work), and Gage made me a fox wall hanging out of wood and Jared a desk size bolista.
Emily's birthday is a couple days after Christmas and we started a tradition of going to Rancho de Chimayo for dinner. We all look forward to this tradition of enjoying great Mexican food.

Happy Birthday Emily!
We love the Prickly Pear Cactus drink. It's a must!
Another thing we did for Emily's birthday was to hike to some hot springs. Sadly a lot of other people had the same idea, but we were still able to dip in a bit and enjoy the lovely warmth of the water and the beautiful scenery.

This is a few of the Rio Grande river not too far from Jared's parents house. We took a beautiful hike down to it. The dogs had a great time too, but it got a little too cold for them since they were jumping in the water. Mostly it was just cooper.

We had a wonderful Christmas in New Mexico. The sky was so blue and the sun so bright and the family time priceless.
