To get a campsite in Yosemite you have to wake up really early on a morning in March when the reservation lines open and race thousands of people to try to get a spot. It's hard to do. Miraculously, we got one for a week. I love Yosemite and it was so great getting to take the kids. I turned my phone off the entire week and just enjoyed being out in nature. Unfortunately, there were some fires close by, so it did get a little smokey at times and it didn't help that I was newly pregnant. However, the trip was still so much fun and I can't wait to do it again. We spent lots of time riding bikes. In fact, this is the trip where Harrison really learned to ride a bike. He took a couple of spills, but he did awesome. We named the squirrel that was always hanging around our campsite. Now every time the kids see a squirrel they wonder if it's Joe. We painted and walked around, and of course enjoyed yummy camping food and s'mores. Tag almost ran into a black bear on his bike one night. Seriously. They were so close to each other and the bear finally veered off into the bushes, but they were head to head.
