Day one
(okay, more like day 10)

Day 365
(well, actually 344)

McKay makes me smile and laugh every day.

Every.
Day.

I love it.

Random McKay facts:

* 6 teeth
*obsessed with his head and putting things on it
* hates anything on his feet
*awesome "I'm frustrated" face
*rubs his feet together when excited
*signs more
*gives high fives
*kisses his mom but no one else
*not a fan of peas
*made up a sign for phone
*won't stop signing phone until he gets to "talk" on it
*adores his older brother
*laughs the most at his older brother
*loves noise and music
*hates to be alone
*happy and content little man
(when not alone!)

Today is a bittersweet.

The years leading up to having McKay seemed to go so slow. They were painful (mentally, emotionally, spiritually and physically!) at times.

The past year has been one of the fastest (and happiest) of my adult life.

I don't want my baby to grow up.

I can't wait to watch my baby grow up!

Ummm, apparently, I am one confused little girl!! But, alas, today is not about me.

It's all about this little dude!

Oh my...

We're building a house!!

I still can't believe this is happening. Yet, at the same time it feels so right.

A little info before some pictures:

4 bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths
1900 square feet
3 car garage

It should be completed the first week of April. Hopefully, it won't be one big April Fools joke!!

A little family portrait, taken today, in front of our newly dug lot. Concrete should be poured this week!

We are building on the west side of Twin. In a neighborhood called Rock Creek Trails. Our backyard will align with the neighborhood park which has trails that lead right down into the canyon!! We feel so blessed and excited to be building in this awesome neighborhood and location. All the stars aligned for us and we feel on top of the world.

Unfortunately, I couldn't get the pictures of the outside of the house to cooperate and post on here. Hopefully another day. I will end with a little shot of what our backyard view will be. This was taken in November. The fall was over and winter hadn't quite begun, therefore the trees and colors aren't that pretty. But, a nice view none the less. Right after those trees, it drops down into the canyon.

Fresh start

Have you ever put something off?

Have you ever put something off and are so far behind that you can't even fathom being caught up again?

Have you ever had a WoNdErFuL, busy, crazy season of life?

Have you ever wanted to try something again and hope for better results?

Well, I have!!

I thought it only fitting that I try to revive my blog on this first day of the New Year. We have had many events in last four months that I hope to slowly post about. But in the meantime, I'm gonna focus on the here and now!

One of the major steps in committing to a goal is saying it out loud. So, turn your speakers up, you're gonna want to hear this.

My blogging (family journal) goal for 2010...

One (1) new post every week.
52 posts out of 365 days.
I *think* that is doable.
We shall see.

Another step in goal setting is getting feedback from others.
So, if you haven't heard from me in a while, will you *kindly* let me know one of the following...
you care about me reaching my goals.
you miss seeing pictures of my cute kids.
OR
I am failing miserably.

Thank you for your cooperation in this very serious matter!!

Now that that is out of the way... please enjoy a montage of my son's dancing skills.

HaPpY nEW yEaR.
