Cam's truck

Cam has so much fun riding on his new truck. He laughs so hard when ever it moves when he pushes the button. We always have to remind him to tuck his feet. Just hilarious!!

Christmas in pictures

We had a fabulous Christmas. We decided to celebrate Christmas with our little family on Christmas Eve, so we could go to Scott's parents Christmas morning. Papa was getting a big gift, and we had to see him open it.
Image Before our frenzy...
Image Cam opening his first present. By the way he did so good this year. It was so fun to see him really be into it. He loved handing out the presents to everyone too. It was adorable.

ImageMy stuff from my mom and Scott. LOVE my new pots and my canvas picture of Cam. Some of my favorites! I am also going to learn how to make earrings. I cannot wait!

Image Ok. I know what you are thinking...but he is missing 2 items in his pile AND his big gift was a laptop from my mom. He is lucky he had anything else : )

I didn't get any good pictures after that.
My favorite gift from them was our nightstands...
Cam got a lot of cute clothes and boots. I asked for him to not get anymore toys. We have no room as it is. He still needs to play with toys he got from his birthday.

Merry Christmas!

This picture was taken at the Creche Exhibit in Midway. We go every year, and decided this time to actually do their dress up nativity. Cam, as you can see, was the darling angel. He was so cute. My favorite in the picture though is the donkey. Hilarious right??

Image
We want to wish you all a Merry Christmas. Hope your holidays are filled with love, family and joy. May the remembrance of the birth of our Savior be with you always. We love you!

Christmas at the Gateway

We bundled up and headed to the Gateway to look at the awesome Christmas tree. It was cold, but fun. Cam enjoyed learning about his mittens. It was hilarious to watch him wiggle his little hands around. Image

Mall Santa

Last year we weren't able to make it to any Santa, mall or ward, so I have zero pictures of the jolly man and Cam. Scott actually had one Saturday off in the last 10 or so, so we headed to the mall for a visit. The line was surprisingly short. I thought we would have to wait forever. We finally made it up front, Cam in an awesome mood, cousins around, Grandpa there, and yep he CRIED. It was so funny. Scott and I had to sit with Santa before Cam would have anything to do with him. By the end, Cam was waving bye and smiling.
Sure didn't get the picture. It was waaay too expensive and it didn't turn out too well. Cam wasn't smiling and Santa had a weird gaze. So another year done and still no picture for memories!

Image I took Cam to Dairy Queen for being such a good sport. He loved his ice cream!

A Good Ol' Fight

I have never been much of a hockey fan. Something that I would never admit back home in Detroit, for fear of my life. Huge hockey town.
Since Scott works for the Grizzlies we have been lucky enough to get tickets to any game we want. We also have been lucky enough to get awesome seats each time! Anyone interested in coming with me, let me know! I hate going alone since Scott is not able to really sit with us.

The last game was a couple weekends ago and I invited one of my favorite people, Annie. She and I were roomies before I got married. I am so glad she was able to come and catch up a little.

Image Alright Mom, DONE with the pictures!

Image Again...Sorry Cam
Image Yep, this shot looks like I found it on the web and copied it! We had 2nd row seats this time. Annie behind the camera= awesome pictures.
Image And...what we all wait for each game. FIGHT!! It is so fun to watch. This fight was pretty good. I've seen worse this season, but not too shabby.
Image The aftermath. A lone helmet.

Holiday Fun

Scott and I don't have very many Saturday's together with the Grizzlies schedule lately, so we try and make the most of the few hours in the morning we do have.
Last Saturday we decided to go to The Festival of Trees. It was crazy busy because it was the last day. It was fun though. We didn't last very long, Cam was anxious. I don't like him walking around in crowded, public places so he his bound to the stroller. Sorry angel boy. You are too cute, someone would steal you for sure!
ImageHe wasn't a fan of this guy...
ImageI really loved this tree. I love how creative these people get. I could never think of anything like these trees! They sure sell for a pretty penny too. Such a good cause.
ImageThe beginning. He was happy then.
ImageI voted this as Cam's favorite.

Sickly

Sadly, Cam had his first fever this week. It has just broke my heart. Mostly, freaked me out. The first fever is pretty terrifying for a new mom.
Cam has done so well though. As you will see from the video, he still wanted to play a little throughout the day.
Most of the time he just wanted to cuddle and watch Elmo.
Scott was sick too, and needed to stay home from work for 2 days per the Dr's request. It was fun to have him around...well no...it really wasn't. He just slept and took medicine. I felt so bad for him too. Thankfully everyone is feeling better and on the mend.

Here is a couple cute pictures of Cam relaxing during Sesame Street. By the way, did I mention I LOVE Sesame Street? Somehow it holds Cameron's interest the entire show! I know, I know a whole hour straight of TV is not good, but I need to get stuff done around the house! It is educational. They have the word of the day and all. I at least use the word 3 times after the show that day so he can remember. Yesterday's was Camouflauge : )

Here is a video that shows what I was trying to explain in the post below with his "superman" smile pose.
Please note: I DO know the words to "Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes." I say here: head, shoulders, knees and CHEESE because I was trying to get Cam to smile. He didn't realize I was taping him.

There is another video to complete this with him dancing and blowing me a kiss, but I for some reason cannot upload it. I will try later.

Thanksgiving time

Sorry so late...
This year was so fabulous to be able to have my mom visit. She was supposed to come in Thursday morning, but missed her flight (NOT her fault, AIRLINES!) and ended getting here in the afternoon. Scott's family was so kind to push dinner back for us. We had a great time, eating, sleeping, eating some more, talking, then eating again. I vote every year my mom visit for Thanksgiving!
We filled our days with Christmas shopping, visits, food and fun. Here are a few pictures from the week.
(not in order)

Image Gorgeous Christmas tree at the Gateway. Go if you can!

Image Robby went to Michigan with us in August and was able to get to know my mom better. It was so fun to have him hang out with us while she was here. My mom just loves him.

Image One of Cam's shopping trips. Man, he is spoiled. The Tinkerbell puzzle is not for him by the way. He picked it out for his cousins in MI. It is nice to Christmas shop for him at his age, he can play with a toy and not remember you took it and give it to him all over again.

Image This is Cam's signature move. I can't even explain what he does. I need to get it on video. When he gets excited he crunches up his face, puts his hands up and does this weird shake thing. It is hilarious. We call this one, The Superman.

Image Happy clapping at Grandma!

Image Cam loved my mom and always played and smiled at her, but would not let her hold him. Silly boy.
Image This is how he says CHEEESE to the camera. EVERY time. It's hard to get a serious smile out of him.
Image See?? CHEEESE!!!! So cute though huh?

Image Ahh, there we go!

Image We took my mom to Cheesecake Factory one day. She loved it. Chicken Salad sandwich...mmm mmm!!

Thanks for coming mom. We had such a fun time with you. Thanks for spoiling our boy...and us! I miss you and wish we could play more often. You are the best! LOVE YOU!
