Friends & Festive Face Paint

Image

Lacey had a Christmas Tea Party:
Hot cocoa, cookies, stringing popcorn & Candy necklaces, games, face paint and nail polish!
Wow what a tea party!
She invited 9 friends but we didn't get a picture of everyone because I forgot til the last minute.
What a fun afternoon they all had together.
Glory, Mazie, Amber, Lacey....

Coyote

Image
Troy has great memories of trapping and hunting with his grandpa Rusty Merrill.
He took Rustin out coyote calling and they both came home excited to stretch and tan the hide just like Troy used to in "the olden days".
He showed them all just how it is done.

Seeing Santa at the mall.

No pics of Santa sorry-not aloud.
but the kiddo's loved the fake snow falling and telling Santa that they are trying their hardest to stay off the naughty list.

Boys on Wheels

Image

Uncle Dallan invited us to the cabin one afternoon to ride. The boys were thrilled to ride little bikes just their size. Around and around and around the little loop they went.
they felt like STUDS!

Lacey was on a quad. She went all over the trails giving rides.

Troys Antelope

Image

This post is quite late... the pic was stuck on my phone and I forgot all about it. It is very important to record these adventures of Troy's so here we go.
In September Troy had an Antelope hunt and after just a couple days was successful!
This was his first Antelope hunt ever so he was way excited.
It scored 83 6/8 and he shot it at 187 yards.
(Truly I'm not sure what that really means or if it is really good or not I just love hearing his stories & am always very impressed regardless)
*-some may wonder why I have never bothered to remember all these important statistics about hunting and scoring and shooting...the truth is Troy prefers my ignorance it is his bliss ( as he is always smothered with praise from me and keeps me from having to talk Man to Man I leave that to him and his brothers).

Puppet Shows!

Last Year Grandma Merrill made the kids this Adorable Puppet Theatre that hangs right in the doorway! Aunt Bobbi gave us a little table top one too. So we get double features every time.
The kids have enjoyed putting on shows for us.
Canyon has grown up enough to join in the show this time.
They get super creative...but always a happy ending!

CCPA Music Theatre Performance

Canyon Creek Performing Arts has offered the greatest experience for my kids. They had such a great semester in dance and theatre. They looked forward to class every week and repeatedly told me it was so so fun. That of course made my part all worth it. They recently performed their recital...
The Rhythm of Life!

Image
Lacey, Rustin & Cousin Baylee were all in music theatre together
They are all very confident on stage and love performing.

Lacey has always loved to dance and is a lovely Dancing Doll in this number.
She did her dance beautifully with good attention to detail.
(I should have taken more pictures but I was to busy watching)

Image

Rustin got asked to join Ballroom because the class fell right after theatre and they needed boys.
He tried it and LIKED it...I'm sure that was because it was challenging and fun to learn and not because he got to hold hands with girls or the fact that it fed his manly ego.
(This was dress rehearsal I wish I had a shot of their classy costumes.)
Ballroom was a huge group full of talent and they looked incredible.
Rustin thinks Ballroom takes the Show.

Catching some ZZZZzzzzz!

Canyon has started resisting naps.
So we try and have a quiet time...
When he finally gives in he crashes in the strangest places.
