more sculptures from Broomhill Sculpture Garden

This area was quite thought-provoking and disturbing. I have included the artist's thoughts and explanation on the exhibit. 

It worked on so many levels, I hope that is apparent from the pictures, though of course they are not in 3-D. All the figures are life-sized and you can walk among them.

I promised ages ago to upload pics of my visit to the sculpture garden near here. I went with my mother. We wandered around the exhibition and then had a lovely lunch at their restaurant. My Mum had Lundy Crab which is a local delicacy as it comes from very nearby.
It was a pleasant day and the sculpture was very interesting, including a competition which we found impossible to vote on as the sculptors were very different from each other. I found one section very moving and am going to put that in a separate post.

Menai Straits

When we went to Carnarvon Castle, we saw there were boat trips along the Menai Straits, so we jumped onto a boat just about to leave and had a mini-voyage. Lol.

Rennes

John (my john, not mora) and I had a week in my sister's place in Rennes while they were away in Spain. We had a relaxing time, read a lot, ate nice meals and drank good beer and wine. We went to a couple of outdoor concerts and an organ recital and did a little sightseeing. Here are a few pics of Rennes to give you a flavour. I didn't remember to take my camera with me every time we went out, so next time I will try to take more.
