Break, Test, Relax

It has been almost a year since I last posted.  I'm pretty good at this year thing.  I guess I just think my life is surely not that interesting in needing to post more than once a year.  But then I got to thinking and realized that my sister-in-laws blog is something I look forward to viewing all the time.  I love looking at the pics of her kids and that's pretty much how I stay up to date on what's going on with them.  So here's to starting posting more!  As many of you know, I have decided to take a break this semester from school.  I will be doing my Student Teaching in the Spring now and I hope it's in Cedar City this time.  I was going to be travelling to Parowan High School this semester and it would have ended up being ok but I'd rather not have to travel so far.  We'll see hopefully this week where they place me.  I finally passed my Praxis test (which tells you if you're going to teach or not) and so I can take a breather from stressing about that!  I have been substitute teaching at the High Schools and a couple Elementary schools here in Cedar.  It has been a blast!  Most of the time I feel like I'm spoiled for even getting paid to do what I do!  It is so fun to spoil the kids.  With Christmas coming I'm so excited this year to decorate and get things going!  I'm one to put it up in November and take it down mid-January!  I love it.  Hopefully I'll have some pics soon of events in the kids lives!

Christmas fun for little girls!

I wanted to get Emma some dress up clothes for Christmas but the cheap ones fall apart too fast and the "nicer" ones are just too expensive.  All I wanted were some fun skirts she could slip on and off as she changes her clothes 80 billion times a day.  I went to JoAnn's and found some of their Halloween material at 70% off and got enough for 4 skirts.  With all that I got it all cost me under $10!  I also made little hair clips to clip onto the skirts or go in her hair...it was tons of fun!

Yellowstone Falls, the Animals, and Random Pics from a 5 year-old!

The second day at Yellowstone was tons of fun too. We needed a whole week to adequately see the park but two days was going to have to do!

This picture was overwhelming for me to see the amount of water that flows off that cliff!

Old Faithful isn't so faithful and reliable anymore! Here are the kids waiting so patiently for it to go off. It took a while before the dang geyser committed to geysing!

Like father like son. I was afraid for my dad's life though with his Glenn Beck shirt on!
Image
I had to take a picture of this Jass Honk! He and his family were sitting by us and then he got down to sit on the boardwalk with his retarded dog and I asked him if we could use the seats he freed up and he said, "No, I'm going to sit up there when Old Faithful goes off." So most of my family had to stand. He never got up on the bench when it went off!

The Beach!!

We went to Huntington Beach in Cali and it was so fun! I'm not sure if David liked the Beach or Disneyland more...I think in his previous life he was a little fish!

Disneyland!!

I was so stressed for the first couple of hours at Disneyland...TOO MANY PEOPLE!!! After a few calming deep breaths we were able to enjoy the two days of magical fun Disneyland had to offer. The funnest most memorable thing was being able to be in the parade and ride on Walt Disney's personal truck! We videotaped that one!

Emma's Graduation!

I've often thought it ridiculous to have a graduation program for preschoolers, but when it's your own....it's just tons of fun! They were all so excited! I can't thank the amazing women who taught Emma this year. She has learned so much more than I ever could have taught her on my own!
Image The graduates with their diplomas!

Image They had the cutest little graduation song they practised so hard on.

Image Emma was so nervous but she did so awesome! She sang the loudest and was so cute!
