seriously mom?!  are you done yet?!  when is enough enough? . . ;)

and here she is in her outfit from grandma vauna and grandpa randy.  seriously, she is mommy's best gift :)

here's some fun facts about our little lynlee:
1.  when she was born, she had such a nice cry.  it has since turned into an earpiercing teradactyl screech.
2.  she is very impatient.  she goes from asleep to seriously p.o.'d in a millisecond.  always because she wants food.  NOW.
3.  I call her lynlee lamb because she makes noises that sound like a little lammy :)
4.  she is very particular about how she goes to sleep:  if it's in the bassinet, she has to have her binki.  if it's in the swing and the swing is going, she does not.  she most prefers to be fed until maximum tummy-bursting volume is reached and then rocked until she goes to sleep.  binki required or she still insists that she's hungry.
5.  she loves to be held by aiden and sadie.  sadie is the best at putting her to sleep and LOVES to hold her. she held her for an hour and a half the other day!
6.  she likes to stay awake after she eats and look around.  she doesn't cry or anything, she just hangs out.  she is very personable and engaging, she will watch us with big, wide eyes forever until she gets tired.  and then she thinks she's hungry again.
7.  by day 2 after she was born, she was eating 60 ml every 3 hrs.  now at day 8, she's eating anywhere from 80-105 ml every 3-5 hrs.  she is a little piggy!
to say that we adore this baby would be such an understatement.  she has been an absolute joy since the second she was born.  there is nothing i have loved more these last few days than snuggle my little baby!  aiden and sadie are doing so good with her too, they love her and haven't had any problems with me paying too much attention to her or anything like that.  they love to hold her and talk to her too, which is so cute!:)  we feel like she is such a blessing and are so happy to have her sweet little self as part of our family now.  we love our little lynlee lamb :)

our newest addition . . .

well, let me just start by saying this:  i was totally right and trav was totally wrong!!  ha ha ha!!  (just kiddin' huzzy!;)  our sweet baby has arrived, and here were miss lynlee's stats:  lynlee jean beasley, born on thursday december 20th at 2:36 pm, 19 1/2 inches long, dark hair (oh my gosh!!  she had hair, YES!!!) we think no dimple but every now and then someone thinks one shows up!  ha ha!  but we're thinking no (dang it!)  definitely jaundiced, but no bili lights . . let me just repeat that for emphasis . . NO BILI LIGHTS!!!!  woo hoo!!!!  cue the hallelujah choir because she's our first with no lights, they totally suck, and i am SOOOOO glad we made it out without needing them!!  SA-WEET!!!  probably because she is a TOTAL hog and eats 60-90 milliliters every 3-6 hrs!  and to think i thought i was going to just breastfeed!!!!  the thought is just laughable!  good thing i am 100% pro formula supplementation when needed or this would be one starving,  unhappy baby! ;)  i'm totally proud of her for being such a good little eater, it makes me laugh and i can't believe that she is eating this much!  she's going to be a little fatty in no time! ;)  so anyways, here's how it all happened . . if you don't want the details, feel free to skip this part but don't worry, i don't think gory details are necessary, i just know that i like to remember the general things later! here i am before little missy is born.  you always have to have a before pic, right?!
Image
so here's the play by play:  we got to the hospital at 0730 and got hooked up to antibiotics and pitocin at 0830.  i was at a 3+ and they needed to have at least 1 dose of abx in for at least 4 hrs before we had her, so we didn't get too crazy with anything, and settled in for the wait.  i told my nurse that i was all about getting an epidural and would take that whenever i could have it even though i wasn't really hurting yet (what a weenie!!!)  ha ha!  let's just say that i learned from my first experience with aiden that waiting too long can be very detrimental and i wasn't about to make that mistake again!  it was a really busy day and it took him a bit to get to us, but that's why i asked early so it didn't matter!  so the epidural got done at 1100 and i wasn't really hurting much.  until the epidural . . which did hurt that much . . it had to be done twice because the first time it was making my leg kick and go crazy and it hurt like a beast!  so he had to take it out and do it again.  it sucked!  but the second one worked great :) then at 1230 my dr. came and broke my water.  i was a whole whopping 4 (holy progress batman!;)  but i was likely to go a lot faster with my water broke so we just hung out and hoped for the best.  at 1330 i was a 5+.  my nurse told me to call her if i felt any pressure, and at 1410 i thought i maybe felt a little pressure so i called.  we laughed because i told her i was probably a 6 ;)  she checked and i was complete!  crazy right?!  i went from 5 to complete in a half hour!  woo hoo!:)  so my nurse started getting everything ready and calling everyone who needed to be there (and me and trav gave each other a panicked look!;)  i started pushing at 1422 and we had her at 1436!
Image
here she is!  7 lb 9 oz!  a pound and 5 oz bigger than aiden and sadie, she was a big baby!  especially for me!  i could  never handle one of those 9 or 10 pounders, it would be straight to the c-section wing for me!;)

and here we are on my floor!
Image
this is one of my very favorite pictures, trav and the kiddies checking her out!  soooo cute!  they loved coming to the hospital with grandma ruby to see her!  it all worked out so well, i actually asked to be induced on friday so trav wouldn't have to take another day off, but they said it was too busy so we did thurs. instead.  turns out, if it had been on friday, the kids wouldn't have been able to come!  flu season precautions were starting on friday!  so it ended up that they were able to come see her on thursday and it all worked out perfectly.  i don't know how we got out of there without getting a pic of her with grandma ruby, it's because i was otherwise detained and couldn't man the camera properly.  i'm blaming that one on trav!;)
Image
here she is in her going home outfit all ready to make the trek home!  we were able to go home at about 9:00 on friday night, which was awesome, i thought i was going to have to stay another night!  it would have been ok, but it was also nice to squeal home to my other 2 sweeties :)
Image
here i am in all my swollen glory, yikes i hate the pics in the hospital, i am soooo not a pretty sight.  oh well, good incentive to lose all this baby weight i guess!
Image
she looked so little in her carseat!
Image
look how cute she is!  we found her this little cover that keeps out the bad winter weather and she looks so funny peeking out of it!  thanks to my fam who all got her a new carseat!  i love it and am so happy that we got her a new one!  it's pink!!! ;)
Image
and i even got to see one of my favorite friends and coworkers for just a little bit before we left, i love you tammy!:)
Image
this picture cracks me up, aiden is such a goofball!
Image
oh my goodness, look at this sweetie!  we have been so mad because the cameras just  don't get how cute she really is!  she is such a beautiful girl!  i told trav that we are all in big trouble because she has us all wrapped around her teeny little finger;)
Image

Image
this one of her and trav is my most favorite, oh my gosh, does it get any cuter?!  don't tell him i said this, but he is the most wrapped around her finger . . he's a total baby hog!;)  ha ha!  he is a very smitten daddy:)

on that sunday, all our fam came to see us and meet little lynlee.  i was so happy that my dad and vauna came to visit her!
Image
and then trav's fam came and it was a total full house!  it was great to see everyone and we were so excited that they got to meet  our little lassie too :)
Image

Image
daddy and his girls:)
Image
here's her new stroller!  yay!  the kids got to help put it together, they were so excited :) check out sadie's hair, she was jumping up and down in this one, it was so funny
Image
ta-dah!  we were laughing so hard at these 2 that night, they were soooo hyper!!!  i let them each take some pics with the camera, and when it was aiden's turn, sadie kept running and jumping in front of him.  i thought he was going to be ticked off but he just laughed at her:)

ash got lynlee this adorable blanket, and someone i know informed us all that it's HERS and lynlee's . . . sorry baby girl, i think your blanket might get confiscated!;)
Image
on sunday, we decided to give her her first bath at home.
Image

Image
i was wondering to myself how many of these baby baths i have done over the years, hundreds!  who  knows, maybe even in the thousands!  ha ha!  it's been a lot, but everything's different when it's  your own baby :)  i was a little sad to make her cry, she hated her bath, but she smelled so good when she was all done!  i  just don't think there's anything in this whole world that smells better than a freshly bathed baby!!!!  plus her neck meat was probably going to start stinking soon . . (when we had sadie, we couldn't figure out what was smelling so bad one day, we kept narrowing it down to something on the baby but just couldn't find the culprit until we finally realized that it was milk that had drooled into her neck over the last couple days and totally reeked!!!!  ha ha!  so gross! ;)
Image
isn't she so sweet?!  as soon as i just wrapped a towel over her, she stopped crying and was fine:)  and do you see that wet spot?  that was from the bath, but there was a matching wet spot (only a lot bigger!)  down at the bottom . . she totally peed and soaked my bed!  ha ha!  of course she had to wait until i moved the blue pad!  naughty baby!;)
Image
the kids had a wonderful time helping, they each took turns washing her hair
Image

Image
and they helped me get her new outfit on.  they insisted that they each got one leg to put into her pants :)
Image
then they each got to sit in the rocking chair and hold her, they loved it!  she was wide awake and just looking at them, it was probably one of the sweetest things i have ever seen :)
Image

Image

Image

Image
of course sadie was beyond excited to get to hold her, she just loves her!  she asks to hold her, feed her, and sleep by her (which we had to lovingly decline ;)  and yesterday she even held her on the couch for an hour and a half while she watched scooby-doo!  how cute is that?!
Image
and last, but most certainly not least, here is lynlee with grandma ruby :)  we are so grateful for her!  she went so far out of her way to come and help us.  she took an extra day off work (like, her only day!!) and came down super early on thursday morning.  she even got here in time for us to get to the hospital by 0730!  she took such good care of aiden and sadie and i didn't even have to worry about them for one second, which is a priceless blessing when one has to be at the hospital delivering another baby, possibly one of the most stressful things on the planet!  she cooked, baked, cleaned, took care of the kids . . i dare say she took better care of this place than i do!! ;)  and such good care of us when we got home.  there is a reason that our baby is named lynlee jean, a few reasons actually . . lynn from gerralynne (my mom), jean is my step-mom vauna's middle name, and grandma ruby's name is rubylee.  we made up her name and named her after 3 people who we love dearly, and we are so proud to name her after her great-grandma ruby because all of this is just the kind of person she is.  so giving and thoughtful, and i just don't have the words to thank her enough for coming to be with us and help us so much.  i couldn't have made it through the first few days without her!  so the biggest
THANK YOU
ever to the best grandma/great grandma anyone could ask for!
we are so proud to welcome this little bundle into our family.  she has already been the most darling, sweet baby!  she's worth all the crying, poopy diapers up the back, eating every hour and never sleeping . . everything!  welcome to the family sweet baby, and thank you to OUR wonderful family who has helped us so much on the road to get her here!  we love you all!
