I cannot believe my baby is five! Addelyn is so fun to have around. She has quite the personality. Addy loves to color, read, ride her bike, swim, play with Madi, and be outside. Addelyn is growing up right before our eyes. She is every bit her own person. Every decision she makes is well thought out and sometimes a bit manipulative. :) She knows what she wants and can't be easily swayed when she has made up her mind about something.
Addy had a great birthday spent with friends and family.

Tara is Pregnant!!!
A little back story. In February of this year I started seeing a new Doctor, Dr. Kobalter, in Tri-Cities. I had found him online and his bio said he dealt a lot with infertility. So, I decided to give him a try. At that appointment he put me on a drug called Letrozole, which is most commonly used for breast cancer patients, but also aids in ovulation. Dr. Kobalter also suggested I start using ovulation predictor tests to determine when I ovulate since my cycle is never consistent. So, March I did not get a positive ovulation test and my blood test confirmed that I did not ovulate. He upped my dose of the Letrozole and we did round two. During this month I also had a hysterosalpingogram (HSG). They inject dye and watch it on an x-ray machine to see if it travels all the way through your tubes. It did! So we knew there was no blockage there. That was a relief. In April I actually got a positive ovulation test! We were really excited because that was the first step. I went in for an appointment and got a blood test. Dr. Kobalter said my numbers were not conducive to being pregnant. So, we talked about what the next step would be... seeing an actual fertility specialist. We were sad.
The next week, Tuesday, May 6th, I decided to take a pregnancy test, because over the past 5 years it's just kind of become a habit. Tyler was upstairs getting ready for bed and didn't know what I was doing. After I took it a very, very light pink line appeared. I wasn't sure if what I was seeing was for real, since it was 10:30 at night. I ran upstairs and I held it out to Tyler and he kind of rolled his eyes... not expecting it to be positive at all. I said, "Look at this." He did and his eyes got big. I asked him if he thought it was a line. We were both very skeptical and we both thought it was, but we were trying not to get our hopes up too high. Tyler ran to Wal-Mart to get a test that says "pregnant" or "not pregnant". It seemed like forever waiting for him to get back. I did that test when we got home and after 2 minutes of anticipation we saw the word "pregnant". We were so, so, so happy! We cried and were in disbelief. I think it took awhile for it to set in. The next day I called my doctor and he wanted to see me very soon. We had our first ultrasound the next week and it was so early that all we could see was a tiny white dot. So, I had another blood test and it confirmed that I was pregnant. We feel so blessed that all of our prayers and fasting has been answered. Also, so glad that my monthly crying sessions have come to an end. What a wonderful Mother's Day present!
