Just Hanging Out

26 Sep
Image
Image So we haven’t been up to much this week. Just hanging out at the house. Drew rolled from his tummy to his back for the first time. He also started rice cereal and just gobbles it up. Kevin and I have been loving the new season of shows on tv. It’s sad that I have so many show I HAVE to watch but I love them. They are Heroes, Bones, Criminal Minds, Ugly Betty and The Office. My favorite show used to be Lost but they are not coming back til next year. Ughhhh!!

ImageDrew just had his 4 month check-up and I thought I’d share. He is 15 lb 1 oz and 24.5 inches. As you can tell he is definately eating enough and lucky for him we might start rice cereal soon. Yum!

Future Pop Star

17 Sep

So maybe Dylan will be a pop star when he grows up. He has loved to watch himself on the computer and asks over and over again to see himself sing. By the way we just got a new camera as an early Christmas present for ourselves….Merry Christmas!! I was surprised when Kevin said that we could open and use it now. He usually is a stickler and makes me wait to open presents.

Drew Baby

Image It was nice to have another boy baby because we didn’t need to buy anything. But this bumbo seat was something that I wanted because they looked cool. I love it and so does Drew. He seems so grown up when he sits in it. It’s crazy to that Dylan fits in it too…his legs just hang way down. I keep catching Dylan sitting in the swing too, I hope he doesn’t break it.

Drew’s new pictures!

I had to wake Drew up for his 3 months pictures appointment. So, he did not feel like smiling. But they sure are cute!!! Image

The coolest Dinosaur Park ever!!

5 Sep

I have been feeling guilty lately because it has been a LONG time since I too Dylan to the park. I don’t think the little slide by the pool counts. Everytime we would drive by a patch of grass Dylan would beg to stop and go to the park. So this morning we went to the Dinosaur Park because it is the coolest. It has a huge sand pit, a water area, lots of slides and swings, and a pond with ducks to feed. We stayed there for 2 hours which is a long time for me to sit around. Drew loved it too and was such a good buy he just fell asleep in his stroller. I was surprised how much Dylan liked to play in the water area. He absolutley hates getting his head wet but it was worth getting soaked to splash around in the water. I guess now that it is getting cooler here we will have to go more often. I’m sure Dylan will remind me if I forget!!Image

Summer fun crammed in 2 weeks

3 Sep
I don’t know how summer can go by so fast. Kevin had 2 weeks off of school and so we crammed all of our summer fun in them. Dylan was kept busy cleaning and loved it. Hopefully, he will always think it is fun to help out and do the dirty work. His new favorite thing is to clean (well, sort-of clean) the sliding glass window. Kevin on the other hand has done a lot of resting and recovering and not so much cleaning. But I guess he does deserve a good vacation. I have been working extra shifts to make some bonus money. Drew has been discovering his fingers and is demanding more attention as he thinks it is boring if he is just lying there awake without someone to make him laugh or smile.Image

Image We went to Eagle Valley again because it is a tradition to go and celebrate Labor Day in Pioche. They have lots of things to do but we only went to the fireworks and the parade. Dylan hated the fireworks and had his face buried the entire time. However, he loved the parade because he found out that if he waved to the passing floats that they would throw candy at him. He ended up with quite the loot of candy. Mommy might have to help him eat some of it. 🙂

Image We also went camping up at Mt. Charleston. It was the perfect campsite except it was right next to the hwy so I was up most of the night wondering if the passing car was going to crash through our little tent. Dylan thought hiking was the funnest thing ever and keeps asking to go again. That will be up to Kevin as Dylan rode on his shoulders most of the time. I think I would love hiking too if I could hitch a ride with someone too. Smores are the best and I don’t know why we never have them except for when we go camping. I think I might heat one up in my microwave tonight and be glad there is no smoke or bugs to worry about.

Who looks like who

2 Sep

I saw this look-alike meter on someone else’s blog and thought it looked like fun. Everyone seems to give their opinion of who they think the kid looks like. Sometimes I can’t decide with my own kids who they look like the most. They grow up so fast and are constantly changing. Who can really tell who they look like. Well, the computer has the final say and it looks like we each have a kid that looks like us!!
