Drew Baby is 1

18 May
I cannot believe that Drew is already 1 year old. He had a birthday dinner with my family today. He was pretty subdued for most of the party but he did like his new toys. He sure is a spoiled kid-thanks to all the family. We are going to miss everyone when we move far away.
Image Here is the birthday boy sitting on Aunt Sheri and next to Grandma Cahoon. He loved his balloons of course.
Image You can see Dylan in the background opening all te presents. Drew was just happy to play the the toys already opened.

Drew took a couple steps with his new car. He took 2 steps the other day without holding on to anything before he sat down. He is just not that interested in walking yet. He could if he tried.

Drew absolutely loved his birthday cake and he was grabbing for it before it was even on his tray. He didn’t make as much of a mess as I thouht he would because he wanted to make sure it got to is mouth. I think he might have ate his weight in cake.

Graduation Celebration

11 May
So the graduation celebration began last week. We went to a fancy banquet for 9 of the students who were inducted to the OKU. The food was delicious and it was nice for Kevin to receive the award and have some nice things said about him. I don’t have pictures though…

Thursday night was the Senior Gala. Dinner, awards and dancing (though we didn’t stay for the dancing). Kevin got the award for the most awesome pediatric dental student. Well, it was something like that. Image

Friday night was the Dental School’s graduation ceremony. We were all so proud of Kevin!! The boys were actually pretty good. I told Dylan when we were driving there that we were going to a party for Daddy. When they were driving home he told my parents, “that was NOT a party.” Guess next time I won’t be abe to fool him to come. At least there was cake there afterwards.

Kevin’s parents took us to dinner afterwards (they always spoil us) and it was really nice to be able to send the kids home with my parents. We aren’t going to know what to do when we don’t have live-in babysitters. Image Image

We went to the big UNLV graduation ceremony on Saturday also. The school threatened them that if they didn’t wak they wouldn’t graduate. Yeah right. The boys we not quite as good for this one and luckily Kevin said we could take off after he walked.

I took a great picture huh. Drew was fussing once the dental students started so I couldn’t mess too much with the camera. Good enough for who it’s for. Me!!

Trouble in the making

7 May

J.D. and Drew love to play together. They both love to eat too so of course they found the pantry pretty quickly and played around in there. Who needs baby toys? Just give them some granola bars to chew on and they are happy as could be. Image Image

Dylan the ninja knight

1 May

Dylan loves his new swords from Legoland and is getting pretty good at fighting Daddy. We tried to convince him to get the shield instead of the helmet but we had no chance. Once he tried on the helmet he had to have it.
