Pa rum pa pum pum...

Our little drummer girl.

Thank you Lord for creative (cheap) musical instruments and kiddos who have fun playing them.

Look at that wagon she's draggin'

Some of the greatest gifts require a bit of effort. Here is visual proof that Jerry and Bryan (a.k.a. Santa's lil' helpers) aren't scared of "some assembly required." (notice how helpful I'm being in the second picture. moral support.)

Thank you Grandma & Grandpa for the fantabulous wagon!

Thanksmas

Bryan's parents were so sweet to come to us this year. We had a wonderful time eating, spending time with Hayden, watching football, playing dominoes (which Carol and I dominated in aggregate), a few home projects (more to come on these) and just catching up!

We managed to fit in both Thanksgiving and Christmas while they were here. Here is a quick look in pictures...

I would be remiss if I failed to mention Xena, the sweet doberman who also visited. Though not being used to small kiddos she was great with Hayden. Hayden of course loves her and wanted to be with her, on her, close to her whenever possible. Xena would suffer quietly and then go back and lay in her bed when she was tired of all the lovin'.

Thank You Lord for parents/grandparents who don't mind long road trips. For tolerant dogs to love on and all the memories we make at holiday times.

Wordless Wednesday--Pony Up!

Snow? Snow!

Image
We got up this morning to see the wintry, white stuff fluttering down to the ground. Bryan immediately declared it Hayden's first snow (that she is old enough to experience) and bundled her up to go outside. I think she was impressed. Bryan of course wanted to get her all out to play in it, but alas he had to go to work, so she and I settled for eating warm oatmeal, listening to Christmas music and watching the snow out the big kitchen window. Much warmer. Our trees keep it from getting to our yard, so we took a picture of our neighbors to show you the current accumulation.
