49 days smarter!

We started off with brainstorming words that begin with G, then we move on to learning all about the letter R.

We're wrapping up our pumpkin life cycle unit this week. So we had to paint about it of course! 

During writing we worked on adjectives and wrote about how many pieces of Halloween candy we'll be getting!

Christian was Mrs. Burralls music star today. In happy to say that she is having such a hard time picking a different star each week because my class is so wonderful! 

I can't wait to celebrate the 50th day of school tomorrow with the cute kids!

Today was "iTune out drugs". I lovedall of the rock stars!

We worked on more short I words. They're getting really good!

I've been emphasizing pointing to the words that you're reading so I gave them these fun witch fingers to help them do that. They loved it!

My wonderful class got to sit in the Reto cafe for the second time this year! I'm so proud of them!!!

I let them paint pumpkins I. Centers today. I can't wait to see wary ones masterpiece!

Christian was the MVP for first in math today. Way to go!

This afternoon, we built words using letters from pumpkin. They did great with this!

Then we focused on how transportation has changed over the years.

The kids are working hard on short a and short I words this week!

I love how focused Dhruv was with his reading during centers yesterday!

In writing we're focusing on color adjectives.

And we'll be learning all about #6-10 this week. 

Today was wear bright clothes for a bright future. I guess great minds think alike! 

Some of my brave kids got flu shots and mists today. Such big kids to do it by themselves! 

We worked on building sentences to describe the life cycle and to learn about adjectives. They did an awesome job building their sentences!!!

The kids are catching on to First in Math! Keep working on it at home too!!!

What a cute and bright bunch of Kinders! Don't forget to dress up your cutie as a rock star tomorrow so they can "iTune out drugs".

This past week in Team Dees!

We had a busy week last week, so here are a few pics to recap the week.

We focused on letters b and I.

Mrs. Jenkins taught us about the brain!

Lucy H's mom was our mystery reader.

These cuties ordered books from our Scholatic book order. The class loved it because we all got stickers and a new book for the class too!

Our sight word was "we".

We learned all about pumpkins and wrote about them.

We made cute apples for the flex space for the Fall Carnival too.

The weather was beatifful this week so we got to enjoy our PAT time outside!

They learned how to play on firstinmath.com in computer lab and are already addicted!

Lawson earned the most points after the first day of playing! Way to go!

Rudra and Lucy H were the kids with character for responsibility this month!

We had local author, Carol Dabney, visit us this week. She's always so fun!

Since we were out of school on Friday, the kids got to go to the treasure box on Thursday. The big hit right now I the Angry Birds tatoos! Thank goodness that Mrs. Jakoet is in here to help me put all of them on!!!

I had fun getting to see so many of you at the Fall Carnival! My kids and Mrs. Hardin's little boy had a blast. Sadly, this is the only pic I snapped all night!
