Easter and Conference

Easter and Conference...what a wonderful combination! Conference was excellent (as always). This year we had the Easter bunny come to our house on Saturday and reserved Sunday for teaching Rylee and Hannah about the resurrection (which was a very basic primary lesson). Hopefully they understood something.


The girls had a blast decorating eggs last Saturday. They had a hard time coming to grips with the fact that the some bunny would hide them. Just completely confused them. I told them that most of the eggs that were going to be hidden will be filled with candy. That brought a smile to their faces!

Happy Birthday Rylee!

Rylee was born October 17, 2006 at 12:35 p.m. She weighed 6 lbs. 14oz. 18inches tall. Rylee is now 25.5 lbs. and 33 inches tall! She is a tremendous blessing in our life.

For Rylee's birthday we went to the Washington City Community Center (her favorite place) to go swimming. After that it was pizza in the park; followed by cake!

4 months old!

Hannah's 4 month old highlights:
* Loves to lay on her back and hold her toes
* SMILES, SMILES, and more SMILES
* Just starting rice cereal (very messy!)
* Sings (cooing style)/ grunts like crazy
* Loves her bumbo
* Watches every move Rylee makes

So what is Rylee up to?...............keeping me busy.......

3 months old!

Hannah is now 3 months old already! What's new?.....

* Sleeps through the night, and I mean 10- 11 hours!!! (this is my favorite)

* SMILES!!

* Very social, lots of cooing

* Eats 5-6 ozs every 3-4 hours

* Lifts her head up very well

We love this little girl!!

Matthew- the last of the little guys!

We had the pleasure of listening to Matthew, or should I say Elder Kolar, and my mom speak this Sunday. Matthew has been preparing to go on a mission all of his life. I remember him taking missionary prep classes since he was 12 years old. Watch out San Juan, Puerto Rico Elder Kolar is coming!

Corn Festival

My mom, Sarah and I traveled up to Enterprise last weekend to the corn festival.

Highlights:
*Corn (of course)
*Excellent Polynesian food
*Baby turkeys and chickens for sell- they stayed in Enterprise regardless of Rylee's pleads "please I hold them mom"
*Belly dancers balancing really large swords on their heads (umm..where do I start)
*Watching Rylee go down the slide!

On Friday my mom went back to Enterprise to pick up her corn order, 14 dozen that is! Next was a lot of dehusking, washing, cutting, boiling, straining, bagging, and finally freezing. I admit we took a brake to catch a Kodak moment with the girls. Hannah was our official Corn Queen. Later she was hypnotized to sleep by watching my mom cut the corn off the cob. Rylee enjoyed eating the raw corn. All in all we enjoyed the labor of fresh corn.
