Requirements
Your mission: Design and build an AI-powered solution that helps learners — especially young people — understand, engage with, and act on climate change.
As climate literacy becomes essential to addressing the climate crisis, the world needs accessible, engaging, and data-driven educational tools that reach people where they are — from classrooms to mobile devices, and from rural communities to urban centers.
We invite you to reimagine climate education through the lens of artificial intelligence by developing intelligent, scalable, and inclusive solutions that:
-
Spark curiosity about environmental science and sustainability
-
Build understanding of the causes, consequences, and interconnected systems driving climate change
-
Empower informed action by showing users how their daily decisions impact the planet
-
Reach underserved communities by overcoming barriers of language, access, or technical literacy
Your solution could be a game, simulator, chatbot tutor, interactive dashboard, storytelling app, or data-driven visualization — as long as it meaningfully integrates AI to deliver a unique and measurable learning experience.
📦 Submission RequirementsEach team must submit the following:
-
3-Minute Demo Video
-
Show your solution in action: main features, AI functionality, and user experience.
-
Clearly communicate your project’s purpose, audience, and value.
-
-
1-Page PDF Overview (max 500 words)
Include:-
Problem: What specific challenge in climate education are you addressing?
-
Solution: How does your tool work?
-
AI Integration: What AI methods or models are you using? How do they enhance the solution?
-
Impact: Who benefits from this tool, and how will it create measurable change?
-
-
(Optional but Encouraged) Share photos of you working on your project.
