Hi, everyone! Still have a few cards to share with you that I made recently. With that, I’d like to introduce you to today’s card.
It’s another little birthday card. Made this one with the Party Pets stamp set from Sunny Studio again. It’s such a cute little set with lots of cute critters. Fun story about it. I actually stamped, cut and colored in a whole bunch of images from the set at a recent crafting retreat with some friends. I purposely picked the set because I feel like birthday cards are always needed in my neck of the woods. Needless to say, you might be seeing a few more cards made with the set.
Hi, all! Guess who is back? Back again. This girl! Got another card to share with you today. Meet today’s card.
I’m in a bit of “dog card” binge! I just fell in love with Kristina Werner’s Puppy Paw-ty stamp set and had to get it. The fluffy little dog reminds so much of my late pom, Marley. He passed away this last summer at the ripe age of 15. The set also had a little doxie looking dog, which reminds me of my bestie’s dog, Bella. Bella was Marley’s best canine buddy. She was 15 as well and passed a few days before Marley. We both miss this terribly, but we have comfort that they are together. In fact, my friend summed it up best, saying that Bella led the way for them both.
Anyhoo, back to the card! I colored the images in with (el’ cheapo) markers and once again used my trusty blender pen to add a little texture. The magic is really the surprise in how it looks when the blending ink is dry. If you don’t like it, you can add more ink.
I created the background by piecing together some pieces of patterned paper from Sunny Studio.
And that’s all I have got for you today. Just don’t have much more to say, other than thank you for stopping by. I’ll be back again later.
Hi, everyone! Back again with another card to share with you! Today’s card is just a fun little belated birthday card.
A friend of mine shared Sunny Studio’s Party Pets stamp set (and dies) awhile back. It’s the cutest little set with happy little critters.
I colored them in with (el’ cheapo) alcohol ink markers and then used a blending pen to remove some of the color with a blending pen and add a little texture. It is kind of fun to see what happens once the blending ink is completely dry.
To make the sentiment, I paired the Happy Birthday phrase from the Party Pets stamp set with a couple words from the Inside Greetings Belated Birthday set. By the way, if you like sassy stamps with a lot of nice’ness, this set is a good one. It’s got a bunch of nice but sassy phrases for Belated Birthday cards.
To make the background, I paired a few different pieces of patterned paper together and added a frame, which was cut from a rectangle of white cardstock with the Rounded Rectangle Dies.
That’s it for me. I’ll be back again later in the week.
Hi, friends! Just stopping by with a card to share today. I guess I should actually say HOPPING by…
Tee hee hee! 🙂
Made this one while crafting with friends recently. Made it specifically for a crafty friend’s kiddo who recently graduated and also earned the title of Eagle Scout! Congrats to my friend’s kiddo.
I wanted to try to do something out of the box as my friend’s sweet kiddo likes frogs and rainbows so tried to include both. Definitely not your normal graduation card.
I used a Lawn Fawn stamp set to do the stamping (plus the coordinating dies). I feel like I’ve had the Toadally Awesome stamp set for a million years, but I feel like I rediscovered it recently while making cards.
By the way, I did not use Copic markers like I often do to do the coloring for this card. I used a cheap, no-name alcohol marker set to do it. I’ve been using Copics for so long that I’ve wanted to try using some other marker sets lately. It’s fun testing them out with some of the blending techniques I’ve learned from Copic over the years. I’m no master coloring artist, but I do enjoy the challenge of trying different things… so it’s just a “for fun/for play” thing for me.
The paper is from Sunny Studio. I can’t remember for the life of me which stack it came from, but gray is always so versatile.
Hello, friends! Welcome to my stop on the Sunny Studio 9th Birthday Blog Hop. You should have arrived here from the blog of Amanda Fitterer. The next stop on the hop is Tina Henkens.
Super tickled to join today’s hop with the talented designers of Sunny Studio. They all make such wonderful creations with Sunny Studio’s stamps, dies and other products. I’m also happy to celebrate another year of Sunny Studio! Mendi, the creative mind behind Sunny Studio, is a longtime friend of mine. She’s got a big heart and pours her heart and soul into Sunny Studio. I can’t begin to tell you how hard she works, but I can tell you it’s a lot! She’s created such a fun company over the last 9 year, piece by piece by herself. I admire her for that and am proud of her.
I’m sharing two cards today so let’s get on with it.
This first card uses two new stamp sets, Roly Poly Penguins (and dies) and Inside Greetings Seasons. To create the little scene, I stamped three penguins and then added some stamped accessories. Oh yes, and I did some coloring, too. I added some foam adhesive under the middle penguin so he’d stand out. I also used a little glitter glue on the beanies.
To finish the card, I added the sentiment. Just because it uses a stamp set meant for the inside of cards doesn’t mean you can’t use it on the outside. I also added the small white pompoms to mimic snow. I couldn’t help myself and added one to look like a snowball being held by a penguin. Sneaky little guy… wink!
The background, by the way, use some of Sunny Studio’s patterned papers, as well as a panel embossed with the Dapper Diamonds embossing folder.
And meet card number 2.
This card uses the new Snowmen in Sweaters stamp set (and dies), as well as the Roly Poly Penguins set and the sentiment set I mentioned earlier. The envelope is from the penguin set. I also added a mailbox stamped with the Bighearted Bears set (released earlier this year). I just love little scenes and it’s so fun to mix and match things together.
Once again, I used Sunny Studio patterned paper with a panel embossed with a Sunny Studio embossing folder (Sunburst).
The pompoms once again came out to mimic snow on this card. Again, I had to add a snowball and let the snowman hold it. Sneaky little guy… wink!
Alright! That’s it!

Just wanted to give you another peek at another card shared last week on the Coffee Loving Papercrafters blog! I’d be tickled if you’d consider checking it out.
You’ll find more info about the card, plus another picture of it!
Hi, everyone! Just wanted to let you know I’m having some extra fun this month. I’m guest designing over on the Coffee Loving Papercrafts blog.
Here’s a little peek at my first project. You can learn more about it over there.
Super thrilled to take part… and to cheer on the Coffee Loving Papercrafters. They do such a wonderful job sharing and keeping the spirit of the card making community alive. I so appreciate their efforts… and I love seeing what the community makes.
Anyway, would be tickled if you’d check out the first project over there. More details about it can be found too!
Hi, all! Back again with another card to share. On your mark. Get set. Meet today’s card!
I made this card the other day for a friend of mine. Created the background with ink and masking. I used three different ink colors. In some of the sections, I did extra masking and inking so parts would look a darker than other parts. After inking the panel up, I added some texture with a Spellbinders embossing folder.
The words were put together with a die from Waffle Flower. I used a mix of white cardstock and vellum and stacked things to make one big, massive sentiment.
The leafy stems were cut with a Simon Hurley die. I cut it a couple times and trimmed off part of each stem so they could partly hide behind the sentiment.
Hi, all! Guess who is back? Yep! The card girl is here again, and I’ve got another card to share with you.
Meet today’s card.
This one uses some more images I colored from Sunny Studio’s Beach Bus stamp set on the last card I shared. I also had some bleeding issues with the ink (supposedly alcohol marker friendly but not really) when I colored in this little bus. Going for the big save, I did some shading and also added some Stickles to the headlights. I think it turned out OK.
I created the background with some patterned paper, a piece of cardstock embossed with Sunny Studio’s Dapper Diamonds folder and vellum. I also added a quick brushing of black ink to ground the bus. The surfboards float a little, but you know what? I’m cool with it. It’s OK for cards to be whimsy and fun… and not real life depictions. Just sayin’.
To finish the card. I added the sentiment strip and a few confetti sequins. On the sentiment strip, I cut a couple extra “Summer” shadows and stacked them under the stamped one. It’s nice how it stands out.
Alrighty! That’s it for me today. I’ll be back later, gators. Thanks again for stopping by.
Hi, everyone! The card creating continues and the creative mojo continues to flow! Got another stamped card to share with you today. Woohoo! So, with that, meet today’s card.
This one features images from Sunny Studio’s Beach Bus stamp set. It’s a fun one. I really, really like that it has the big beach van. Then, you get to do your thing to customize it. I went a little crazy, stamping a bunch of images from the set repeatedly and then took a day to just color them in. So, I guess I am saying that this is not the last time that you’ll see me use the set. Wink!
I added all four of the small critters that come with the set to the bus. And, just for fun, I put two surfboards on top.
Now, let’s lean in for a minute so I can tell you a secret. I used a “new to me” ink that was advertised as “alcohol marker friendly” to stamp the image in. Well, friends, I’m not going to name names but I am going to be careful. Not all inks really are. This ink totally bled when I used my Copic markers with it. I was not happy and ended up doing a lot of extra shading to save the image. The “Summer” word covers up a patch where there is some stamping that became gobbly yuck when the markers touched it. Live and learn, I guess. I just won’t be using this ink pad again with my markers.
The background of the card was creating with a Sunny Studio embossing folder, Sunburst. The paper at the bottom is just scraps from other projects. The gray is from Sunny Studio. I think the blue is from Echo Park, but I’m not sure.
Once again, I whipped out my confetti sequins and added a few to the card. It’s just so addicting.
Anyway, that’s it for now. I’ll be back again later. Thank you for stopping by again!
