The Nursery

It's still not all the way done but here's a picture of it so far.

The dresser before. At first I thought the yellow was too bright but now I love it!! :)

6th Anniversary

For our 6th Anniversary, we did a staycation. Thanks to Groupon, we scored a room at the Scottsdale Resort for two nights. It was an older looking/feeling resort for sure but it was great to just relax.

Oh...and we can't forget a picture of the amazing Margherita Pizza at Pomo...haha :) It was only a mile away. Yum!!

Celebrating 6 years with the man I love and a baby on the way. What a great couple of months!! :)

Baby Shower

On August 23rd, I had my baby shower. I can't believe I just typed that. It still seems so surreal to me that I am going to be a mom soon. Yikes!! But I am super excited! I can't wait to meet this little person :)

So many friends and family attended. I feel so blessed to have so many wonderful people in my life :)

Harley and Me. We've been trying to tap into his 6th sense to tell us whether it's a boy or a girl. It hasn't worked so far.

A Great Man!!

Last weekend, Darren and I drove to Heber for the funeral of Frank Greer. He was my best friend's dad, my H.S. basketball coach and one of the greatest men I have ever known. You sure will be missed but I am so glad you are now with your sweet wife.

Pottery Studio

For Kara's birthday, we all went to Creative Hands Studio in Gilbert. I've always wanted to do this and it was super fun!!

Darren's cute, little turtle :)

4th of July

I can't believe I didn't take any pictures this year. Slacker!! But we went to my aunt and uncles house for a BBQ, then to my mom's for a swim party. Then later than night we watched fireworks in East Mesa. It was fun to be with family but I definitely missed being in Heber. Now that my mom lives here in the valley, (and her house is for sale) I'm not sure when we will watch them up north again but hopefully soon :)

A California Getaway

Our first stop was Idyllwild, California. We had never even heard of this place before but stumbled upon it as we were looking for an "off-the-beaten-path" place to stay. Not much to do in this small town so we enjoyed just relaxing.

Image

We stayed at a quaint little B&B called Creekstone Inn

Image

The downtown area had some fun shops to peruse

Image

Look at the size of these pine cones! They look like pineapples.

Isn't he cute? :)

Image

Playing pool at the B&B. I think we played like 10 games...haha :) Definitely one of my better moments playing pool. I even successfully made a Jump Shot and the ball went in!! I've always wanted to do that :)

Image

Image

Not my best picture...26 weeks pregnant and starting to feel it :)

Image

While trying to find the B&B the first day, we kept driving right by it because we couldn't find the address. "It should be right here." We just had to memorialize our goofiness.

Image

Solvang, California. We came here back in 2009 but decided to stop again since we were in the neighborhood. We took some pics at the same spots we did before to compare.
