A New Start

Seeing as it has been a few years since I really posted in here, I decided that I'd get going on this again. Not just for the boys and I but also because there are so many of our family and friends who we just don't see enough of. I knew this was a great way to keep everyone updated on our boys and I apologize for not staying on top of it. I am going to try harder to keep this going and add as many pictures as I can.

Keep checking back! I'll try to post at least once a week!

Love to you all,
Amy, Alex and Andy

Birds, Bikes, Bean and Robots......

The boys and I have been busy spending time outside and enjoying the sunshine. We had a great Easter with my family and we're looking forward to a very fun summer. We have a lot of fun things planned.

Just a quick update:

Alex has been doing fantastic at preschool, he's all ready for Kindergarten and will start in either July or August. (He's on year-round.) He's become a pro at riding his bike-with training wheels and he loves to be outside running around.

Andy is growing up so fast! He calls himself "a big boy" now because he's almost all potty trained. He is still ALL about Thomas the Train and Cars. He drives his little car around the backyard and chases Alex around.

Here are some newer pictures that show what we've been up to lately.
The first are from Easter Sunday. Alex wrote the names on the place cards. All you have to do now is spell the name and he'll write it for you. He's getting so smart. We had a little Easter egg hunt, which the boys loved. Andy loves to give 3's and 4's to Uncle Tom. (instead of 5's)

As is typical in the spring, birds are all over the outside of our house making nests and hatching eggs. This year has been no exception. We've gotten ourselves a little dove that has made a nest right in the rain gutter in front of our front door. She sits there and looks at everyone that comes and goes from the house and occasionally gets scared off when someone is too loud. Her name is Annie. The boys love to say hi to her. (Andy in his little baby voice-which is very very cute.)

Alex has been attempting to build robots out of all sorts of things lately. This was one attempt with various kitchen items. I thought it was pretty cute and had to share it.

This was a fun trip to the park the other day. We have a small park a little ways from our house that the boys and I visit often. This time, Alex wanted to ride his bike. So we took a picnic in the wagon and Alex pedaled his way over for lunch. It was a lot of fun.

The boys have discovered that they share a love for Rowan Atkinson's character Mr. Bean. We watch episodes of his show whenever the boys want a good laugh. Uncle Tom has lots of fun Bean-related memorabilia that he has been nice enough to share with the boys. They both LOVE the teddy bear and fight over who gets to hold it next. They also figured out how to do the Mr. Bean dance. I took some video of them doing it at the park the other day and had to share it.

Funny Pictures

We came across this great website where you can insert your pictures into celebrity and movie pictures. The boys got the biggest kick out of it. These are a few that we came up with:

Andy as Big Chris from Rory The Racing Car:

Alex as Spiderman with the lovely Mary Jane:

Andy and his trains

For some time now, we've wondered just how many trains Andy actually has. We decided to line them all up and see. I believe we're missing a few, but here you get the general idea of his collection. We have video of him going through and naming them all that I'll put up later. Alex insisted on taking a few pictures, so he took some of these.

Christmas, New Years, A Wedding and a Partridge in a Pear Tree

Hi everyone!

We hope you had a wonderful holiday season. I'm sorry that I haven't gotten a chance to update this lately. With Christmas and Caitie and Rob's wedding, things have been a little hectic. Now it's started to slow down but we've caught a cold too! At least it's an excuse to take it easy.

I have lots of pictures to share with everyone. So here we go:

We didn't get a lot of pictures on Christmas but Uncle Rob caught a few for us and we'll get those from him after the honeymoon.

Here are a few of the boys playing in the snow a few days before Christmas. We've gotten lots of white stuff and they love it!

Here's a few funny ones of Molly sleeping on the boys' big stuffed doggy named Fetch. She loves to snuggle up on anything soft, especially him.

New Years was a lot of fun. We had everyone over to play with the Wii that the boys got for Christmas and to start getting things ready for the wedding. The boys had a great time showing everyone how to use the Wii.

Cousin Hadyn came into town with Aunt Jenny for the wedding. The three of the boys together was like Alvin and the Chipmunks. One of the nights he was here, the boys decided to play dress-up. This was the result:

They are so cute together.

Here are a few pictures from the wedding. We'll be getting more in the next few weeks. These were just some taken with our home camera. Alex was the ring bearer and Andy was kind of my usher. He didn't want to leave my side so he stayed with me down the aisle, in the pictures and later on the dance floor. Andy decided that he had to have two of his toy trains with him at all times so during the ceremony, I had stuck them in my pocket. About half way through the vows, he decided he was bored and wanted them out so I had to grab them out of my pocket and hand them over. Everyone got a big kick out of it.
It was a fun day though and the boys were very very good. I did Andy's hair all spikey because he wanted to look like Louis from Meet the Robinsons. He actually turned out looking like the little boy on Jerry Maguire. It was very very cute. We'll put more pictures us as we get them.
