The week before Mother's Day Kent called in to a radio station, KZZU, as "new listener of the day". When asked his "claim to fame" he told about being featured in the paper for making his wife's wedding dress. (Laaa! Wedding dress)

Silverwood!
As a prize he was awarded tickets to Silverwood theme park in Sandpoint, ID! WooHoo! (Thanks Dave, Ken, and Molly!)
Our family spent the Saturday before Mother's Day at the park and had a terrific time! Kent rode the CorkScrew so many times he lost track (at least 11 times) and Davis, Maggie, Reagan, and I also rode it. (I rode it only as a surprise gift to Kent, 'cause I am terrified of roller coasters!)
Kent and all the kids, except Heather, rode Tremors. Elijah was pretty proud of himself. He said of the experience that when he went underground his "bottom lip shook" and when he was way up high it felt like the coaster jumped to another track. Kent even said that roller coaster was scarier than any he had ridden as a kid. Sorry, no pictures of those. They go too fast for a good shot anyway.
Davis had turned 18 just that Wednesday so we could split up pretty easily with Davis being one of the adults available to ride with the younger kids when needed.
Heather and I thoroughly enjoyed the carousel. She rode it a total of a dozen times, mostly with me but three times with Maggie and once with Kent. She was hesitant at first and wanted to get off before the ride started, but after that ride she didn't want to go through the exit even to get back in line.
She had her favorite horse, Rosebud. It didn't go up and down but it had a rose painted on its saddle. She called it "the flower horse."
Elijah rode the horse named "Liberty" (Also in this photo you can see Dan, the very nice ride operator)
Elijah flew the Red Baron's plane and was a great pilot.
He was also a great helicopter pilot.
Reagan had a great time too riding the train, carousel, and roller coasters. We attended the magic show and Gunnar was impressed. Well, we all were, but Gunn has an interest in perfecting his own sight of hand tricks.
We topped the whole day off with a trip to Wendy's restaurant for burgers, fries, and frosties. All in all it was a wonderful day.

Kent, as assistant Deacons Quorum advisor, built this miniature golf course for the YMYW combined activity. The Deacons assisted on some parts of it. Each of the holes had a scripture story attached to it.
This one was 1 Nephi 4:1
This one was 2 Nephi 2:27
1 Samuel 17:49
Back side of the previous hole
Lehi's dream
Parting of the Red Sea
Samuel the Lamanite
Ether 2:24
Maggie proclaimed this activity "Epic!"

Davis is an Eagle!!!
On March 8th 2014 Davis received his Eagle Scout award.
He also received that night a flag that had flown over the White House.
Reagan and Gunnar participated in the flag ceremony to begin the Eagle court of honor; Reagan as a Cub Scout and Gunnar as a Boy Scout.
This picture is of Kent and Davis refolding the flag after the court, with Reagan supervising.
Davis presented David Demars with the Mentor pin for all his encouragement.
Davis, the newest Eagle and his cousin, Dirk the next Eagle in the family.
