My other favorite place...
Once again we spent another week in Pine Top. I love the mountains! I wish I lived there! Although I don't like to be cold. Being cold makes me ache. Lisa and I took all our kids and had a great time.
It is amazing how much weight this swing holds.. Ihope it never comes crashing down!

Jack is so awesome. What ever he says or does I LOVE!!!!! He loved throwing rocks in the water!

We went back to Show Low Lake. The kids liked it. The water was green and freezing but some of the kids still got in.
Emmie and KK put stickers off a bush on their bums and boobs. I don't know where they got their silliness from:)!!!
White River is so beautiful! Minus the part where Emmie had the flu! Oh Fun:)

We have been waiting for Fall Break to come since the first day of school. The 4 oldest kids already got to go and spend the weekend with Grandma and Grandpa Alberti. They had so much fun! They love having sleep overs with them. Thank you! We love you Gary and Nancy! We are so exciting to head up to Pine Top with the Lewis'tomorrow. It is gonna be so much fun. Then we'll head back to the beach. OUR FAVORITE PLACE. Russ gets to come with us this time too! The kids are so excited. Well you won't hear from us for a few weeks. We see ya all later. Hopefully I'll find time to do some running up north and at the beach!

Emmie's 1st Field Trip!
Emmie loves kindergarten. She got to go on her first field trip today. It was so much fun. We went to Bashas Grocery Store. We saw the bakery decorate a cake and make a pizza. We went into the huge walk-in freezer. They got to bring pizza back to school and have a pizza party!

But the best part for Emmie was riding on a bus for the first time ever. Really all they needed to do was ride around the block in the bus and Emmie would have been good!

Alberti Competitive Streak
I finished a little better than last year. I wanted to finish in 1:40 but I didn't! I have always been more of a dancer or a cheerleader in the past but I think hangin out with Russ has made me a little more competitive. So now I want to beat my 1:50. Maybe if I train hard enough I could even beat Russ. Yah Right. Anyways I had fun doing this tri with all the girls. Now my older girls want to do a Triathalon
too!
Nolan Lost His First Tooth
Frisbee Golf
On Labor Day we went to a frisbee golf course with the kids. Every summer at the beach Russ plays with beach buddies. Nolan got in on it this year and loved it. So Russ went on a mission to find frisbees for everybody. It was fun except for the mouskitos. We spayed OFF all over us but they still wanted to eat us. Frisbee golf is actually pretty fun! You should try it!
Peaches for Everyone and SALSA
Well I spent all of last week canning peaches and making really good salsa. Grandma Terri who lives two doors down from us let me use her kitchen. Which was great! Jack and I just hung out at her house for a few mornings and got a few boxes of peaches done. Then Friday Russ and I were super busy doing 3 boxes of tomatoes. We have the best salsa recipe. It's from Chevy's mexican restaurant. We use to eat there when we first got married for $5 for the both of us. Good memories! Well it may sound lame but I guess canning is my hobby right now. Oh and I have been running, swimming and biking a lot too. I am not a complete Beaver Cleaver Mom. You can come to my house and get some mad hot salsa though! See ya

Sunday is a Special Day!
I had the opportunity to go to church with my Mom today. I so needed to go with her. We had our hearts turned to my step dad Frank that will have a big surgery Tuesday to remove some cancer. Russ was in Chicago again this Sunday so it was perfect for me to go to my Mom's ward. It was so good to be with her at church. My kids all went to their classes even though they didn't know anyone. It really was a perfect day. Sunday hasn't felt this good in a long while. The best part of the day was Emmie. Her primary teacher gave her a small prayer rock. So when I came into her room she was on her knees praying. She is only five and it was so special. She prayed her Aunt Tiffy and Uncle Kevin would go to church, then she prayed for a little boy Truman in our ward and then she said I know Jesus knows my name Emmie and I know him too. That was it that was all I needed one good day at church and for my sweet innocent Emmie to know that Jesus knows her and she knows him.

It's only 106 degrees at 4:30pm
I hope these shoes and this bike are gonna make me really fast. Tomorrow I am doing my second triathalon. Last year I totally sucked. I came in 25th out of 26 women my age. I honestly didn't care though it was fun and I DID IT! It took me 1:56 last year so the goal is 1:40. We'll see what happens. I'm a little freaked out because the race starts at 4:30 and it is sooooo hot outside at that time. Hopefully my turbo blasters will kick in on my shoes.
A Few Thoughts
As Russ and I were talking last night we were both reminded how blessed we are to have our five children. Each child came to our family at just the right time. We could never imagine our time without any of them. We are thankful our Heavenly Father entrusted us to be their parents. We love them and hopefully we will do a good job with them. We love you kids..forever

14 Years Later
Almost 14 years later...I am so greatful to have my family. Russ and I are perfect for each other. We don't have any dreamy stories about how we met or how we got married except for the ones Russ makes up to tell the kids. They are always wanting to hear mushy girly stuff. So he feeds it to them. It's pretty hilarious what he tells them about us, like how I was on top of the tallest mountain and he had to fight off the dragons with his sword to rescue me and ask me to marry him. That was the latest story Kiersten could remember. I am just pretty greatful for Russ and our kids. Honestly we never planned on having a lot of kids but it is so great that we have them all. Everyday is going by so fast and the moments we have are turning into memories. It feels like yesterday when Russ and I were parents for the first time with Kiersten. Russ is such a good Dad! Our kids bring us so much joy and stress. Let's be real our home is very busy and loud. Russ and I would never change a minute of it. I am so happy my family will be together forever.

BOYS will be BOYS
Cheetahlicious
Cheetah Girls 3 One World came out last week so we had all the girls come over to rock out. We had so much fun dancing and eating yummy pizza and pazookies. I love having three girls. Kiersten, Hallie and Emmie are so different but they are all the best! Nolan got to ditch the girl party to go see Star Wars Clone Wars with Russ and Jack got to party with the girls. I love being their mommy.

WHAT'S UP!
Well I feel like I need to blog about something. We have been very busy here. We are back into our school routine. BUSY BUSY BUSY. Actually we are trying so hard to lay low. Besides going to school, work, doing homework, chores, and activity days! We are not doing piano, baseball, dance or gymnastics. We feel like our lives are way to scheduled so we are trying something different. I still feel really BUSY! The kids are enjoying school and learning so much. We are spending about 2 hours a night on homework. This is pretty normal for our household. Everybody needs Moms help at the same time. So we spread out the homework in shifts. So everyone is not yelling for help at once. I think it's going smooth. I go back to school next week so that should be fun. OR NOT. I guess after 11 years of having babies it's time to use my brain again. Wow! 11 Years of being a mom. Russ has been traveling a lot lately so we have missed him and his help. He is such a good Dad so we all miss him so much when he is gone. When he got back the other day he put the kids and me in order of who was most excited to see him. It was pretty cute to see them all get excited to see daddy. Next time I'm gonna win first place! Anyways all is well here. Is it time to go back to the BEACH yet?

School's Cool
Well we got through our first week of school. The kids go to CTA which is right across the street from our house. It is a great school and I know the kids will learn a ton this year! Our sweet Emmie started all day kindergarten. She just turned 5 so I was so nervous to send her. Amazingly she had a great first week. No huge melt down, although she did say school is really long. it is so cute she wants to be twins with Kiersten everyday at school. The best part of CTA is UNIFORMS. It makes my life so much easier. Nolan is in first grade and he likes it so far. He had really bad seperation anxiety last year but he has been fine thus far. Hallie is in 3rd grade and she is lucky to have the same teacher as last year, plus she has her best friend Makena in her class. Kiersten is in the big 5th grade. She is in the big kids building. She is growing up too fast. They are all so smart and I know they will have a good year at school.
Now let me tell you what's really up! I'll just have Baby Jack at home with me from 8:20-2:50pm. How easy my life will be! I can't believe that everybody is in school except Jack. I'll miss my sweet Alberti kids but I have BIG plans for Jack and I.

The Best Part of California.... GREAT GRANDMA!
Every year we get get to see Great Grandma Alberti in California. She loves California and we love when we get to go see her. She is an amazing lady and the kids love her so much. We wish we could see her more often.

Grandma treated us to Sunday Brunch. It was just perfect and the kids were totally spoiled. Thank you Grandma.

When Grandma isn't looking the kids enjoy her bed. When Hallie was 3 she would pick all Grandma's beautiful flowers.
We had such a good time visiting and can't wait to see you in October. We love you and miss you always!

More Good Times At The Cabin
The Lewis' invited us to spend some time at the cabin in Pine Top. We had so much fun! It is so beautiful up there. The kids always have such a good time. We had 14 kids under the age of 10 in one cabin. They are all best friends and they played great together! We watched all the JAWS movies and we just had to watch The Watcher in the Woods. The kids were all a little freaked out after watching that one.

We got to the White River and all the kids climbed down to the log. Makena and Carson got Poison Ivy all in about 2 minutes. And then a minute later it started pouring rain and hail.

The Show Low Lake was our favorite part. The older kids took their noodles and floaties and swam across the lake. We hung out here for two days.
Hallie found a new pet snake (ALEX). I couldn't believe she would even touch it! She wanted to take it home but after playing with it for a few hours the snake got ticked and bit her. POOR HALLIE GOT BIT BY A SNAKE!!!
