Merry Christmas!!

Merry Christmas everyone! Hope your holidays were as wonderful as ours were. I wish I could post some pictures, but we left one camera in Fort Wayne and our other camera is broken (thank God for warranties!). So I'll try to give a quick recap in words and hi-jacked photos:

The trip started in Fort Wayne early last week, which allowed us to see all of our family in friends there before Christmas. Tuesday night we relaxed with my parents and watched The Hangover, still the funniest movie I have ever seen. My parents loved it and we all had to refrain from watching it a second time. If you haven't seen it yet, you HAVE to go rent it...TODAY!

Image Wednesday we met up with all of my girlfriends and their husbands at Granite City for dinner and finished the night at Duty's Bar & Grill. As usual, Nathan insisted on shots for all the guys and Teague willingly obliged. Nathan, I blame you for our 3 pit stops on the way home and for the fact that Teague wanted to sleep on the bathroom floor at my parents house! Teague was a trooper on Christmas Eve and managed to celebrate through his own version of the hangover. Nights like these make me glad I can't drink!

Christmas Eve we continued our new tradition from last year of celebrating at Nicol and Mark's, we had a great time and need to do this every year! We watched Emily and Lucas all day so they could get the house ready which was a lot of fun. Emily was telling me about their visit with Santa, which Lucas did NOT enjoy as you can see in the picture below. When I asked Emily if she cried on Santa's lap too, she laughed at me, smirked and said, "Nooooo silly, big girls don't cry on Santa's lap!"

Image Christmas morning brought the usual Christmas turtles (turtle neck shirts that is) and Teague's best Christmas outfit yet. Those pictures are on the camera we don't have, so look for those with anticipation in a future post. Teague and I and Baby Avey all got wonderful Christmas gifts, thanks everyone!!

In the afternoon we left my family and ventured down to Indianapolis for Christmas Dinner with Teague's family. It rained the whole drive but that was better than the freezing rain experienced the night before. We had Charline's amazing lasagna and opened presents, which included a Colts snuggie for Tina from Aunt Erin! Definitely look for that picture in a future post.

Saturday night was the "Facebook Party" at Rock Lobster in Broadripple. This party started last year and nearly 1,000 people were invited via facebook! Crazy that we now have parties via social networking sites. It was a huge and random group of people and definitely made you believe in Kevin Bacon's 6 degrees of separation. It was great to catch up with all of our friends, especially Bob and Leslie who were in town from CO! And to Jeremy and Aimee who got a night out from the girls and took FULL advantage :) We finished the night with Hot Box pizza and breadsticks, my favorite and just as delicious sober as they usually are when I've had a few cocktails beforehand.

We got home to Chicago Sunday afternoon just in time to watch the disappointing Colts loss to the Jets, boo! I understand Caldwell's decision, I guess, but why did he even play his starters if he was just going to take them out and have them lose? I think it was so that both Peyton and Dallas could break the regular season records they were going for. I hope nobody suits up for the Buffalo game, that sounds cold and dangerous. Looking forward to the post-season in January, Go Horse! Here is Peyton telling Painter to get his act together, I felt bad for the guy but he played horribly. He went 4 for 11 for 44 yards, with two sacks and one horrific interception. I pray that Peyton never gets hurt or retires!

That's all I got, thanks to all of our family and friends for another fantastic Christmas!

I almost forgot, a quick shout out to...

...my sister Katie and Adam on their recent engagement!! I am so happy for you guys and honored to be the MOH, hopefully I can live up to Katie's first appearance as MOH at my wedding. Adam, we can't wait to have you officially in the family! Good work on the trip to CA, what an amazing engagement story.

And to Borgo and Jessica on their engagement this week! I couldn't be happier for you two and can't wait for your wedding next summer. I'm so excited!

Love you all!

Happy Holidays!

It's been a while and I can't believe Christmas is a week away! I have been frantically shopping online tonight, sending out a handful of Christmas cards (sorry no time for cute photo cards this year to everyone!), and putting together calendars for my family on Snapfish so I meet the shipping deadline. Fun fun fun (and stressful)!

Here is a picture from my work holiday party last week of Teague and I, we had a great time.

Here is an awesome house we saw from 294 South last night that we actually got off the highway to go see at 10:30 pm after Teague picked me up from the airport. What can I say, we love Christmas lights! This puts the Griswald's to shame. They had every blow up lawn ornament and light fixture you could imagine, even the sides of the houses were covered! I cannot imagine what their electric bill is. For anyone in Chicago, it's just south of the intersection of Milwaukee Ave and Lake Ave, check it out!

Image If we don't post before next week, safe travels to everyone and have a very Merry Christmas!!

Registry Information

No this is not a blatant plea for gifts, I was told to put my registry information on our blog because some of our shower invitations were printed before we decided where to register, so people have been directed here instead.

So, if you are in the market of buying us a gift, or are just insanely curious as to what baby gear we chose, or just want to give us unsolicited advice on what we registered for and how that translates into our parenting skills, here you go:

Snow and A Snoogle for my Birthday!

I couldn't ask for better presents on my birthday. My 29th birthday, the last year as a 20-something, how sad. I can't believe I'll be 30 next year!!

What is a Snoogle you might ask? That's what Teague got me for my present. It's a C-shaped body pillow for pregnant women and it's awesome! Poor Teague has been replaced by a pillow. Here is a picture to help you out:

Here is a picture before we left to watch the Colts/Patriots showdown at Pat and Clare's, what a great game! We made Colts cookies for our favorite players. Nerd alert! And yes, my jersey still fits, Teague was worried how long into the season it would last. I'm wearing that thing on Super Bowl Sunday even if I can't breath.

Image And finally, I'm 23 weeks along! Definitely feeling big but still feeling really good too, I can't complain at all. I think I finally started feeling him move in there which is exciting!

Happy Snow Day!
