MEG Asleep

Meg never falls asleep.  The places you can find her a sleep are in her bed or in her car seat.  I gave her some lunch and went to the basement to do some crafting.  I had noticed how quite it got, so I went up stairs and there I found my cute little girl asleep.  The TV was on and yet she was still asleep.  It was  one of the sweetest moments I have seen.

May- We packed in a ton

 I am one of Taryn's girl scout leaders this year.  It has been so much fun.  I found this fun horseback riding day camp for the girls to go to.  Over half the troop went.  This is Taryn riding a horse.  She also had to learn to groom a horse, pick up poop, feed a horse and also walk a horse.  I thought it was a neat way to show the girls what it takes to have a horse.

Guess what, I was also Taryn's room mom and PTA Rep for her 1st grade class.  This is the poster I made for her teacher for Teacher Appreciation week.  Totally had a different vision when I started, but The Teacher LOVED it!!!!

Soccer

This Year we wanted to try out different sports.  Taryn wanted to do spring soccer.  She loved it for the first two games.  This was her first team sport.  We need to do more team sports!!!! Over all She had fun and it was a fun few saturdays of family outings!!!

Circus

I found this totally awesome deal for all you can eat pizza and the Circus for way cheap.  The only thing is that we had to go on a week day and it was good for 2 adults and 4 kids.  So my Friend and her 2 girls and baby boy join us for a 4pm Tent circus down in Dumfries.

We ate 2 large pizzas between the 6 of us!!!

So I know that my blog is not in order of events happening.  But I was pulling some pictures out to print for Taryn to scrapbook and found a few.

Virginia Beach

We went to Virginia Beach for Memorial Weekend.  It was great weather and we all got a bit to much sun, but we had so much fun.

Girl Scouts- Bridging

Taryn was in Daisy scouts this year.  Next year she will be a brownie scout.  So they have a cute little ceremony for the girls where they walk over the bridge and do the girl scout hand share to a older scout.

Our Night away

Dan and I went to Baltimore for an over night date.  We stayed in downtown at a super nice hotel and we went to a Orioles game.  I forgot how much I love baseball games.

The Hat

Meg came home from Preschool with this cute little pink Hat.  She had to wear it every where and all day long.  We went out to dinner and so I thought I would get some pictures of her being so cute, once again!!!!

What Dan brought the girls back from his trip to Las Vegas

Dan went to Las Vegas to help with the Primary's this year.  He also go  to visit with friends and family.  We stayed home.  He brought back a sign, I got a cute picture of the girls holding the sign.  Taryn was mad to find out that this person was running against Obama.  After I took the she was freaking out.  Well that is what happens when you leave in an area where your children are aware of politics 

Easter

 Another wonderful Easter!  We  had our easter egg hunt the day before at our good friends home the Eklunds.  I was hoping to get a great family picture but, Dan went to church early, so here is me and the girls.  For Dinner we  had our good friend the Weir's over.  I made a beef filet and gorgonzola Sauce.  We had some yummy sides and dessert thanks to our guest.  Happy Easter!

Pretzel making and a cold drink

We always try to make the trip back from Grandma Pat's and Grandpa Jim's house a bit fun.  This time we decided to go check out the pretzel making museum.  The oldest, the first to make hard pretzels.

Where are the crafts?

I know you are probably wondering if I gave up crafting. Well I didn't. I just have all these ideas in my head and only have 3 hours to do them all, so nothing gets started, because in that three hours I dream of all the other things I want to do.

So I really wanted to make something with glitter. I do not own glitter, but I have always wanted to craft with it. SO my friend at craftaholics anonymous, okay we are not friends, but if we lived in the same town (we live in the same state) we would be friends. Anyway back to glitter craft, she inspired me to make glitter paper mache eggs. ( you can find these eggs at Michael's). It is national craft month and I have only done one craft. But I have a million in mind.
