Image Image Lunch time!!! They love their peanut butter and honey or jelly sandwitches for lunch. They are great eaters thankfully....but if they decide they don't like what is on their tray, it gets chucked on the floor!!! It makes for very messy meal times. We are working on them telling me "all done" so I can race over and get their dishes from them before they splatter all over the floor, walls, and blinds! The joys of 2! Image Image I just love the expressions on Ashley and Alexis' faces. It is so fun to see how different they can be in their personalities.

Look sidways for now.....

Image Ok....I'm frustrated, I downloaded this picture 10 times trying to get it the right direction. It is right in my file, but turns sideways when I download it. Any suggestions???? In August we went to the Davis County Fair with my parents and sister and her kids. We started out at the "Cute Baby Contest". My parents thought I should put the girls in the contest just for fun. I was surprised to see how many people really get into these contests!! It was an interesting experience to begin with. The girls were both tired a cranky. They both wanted me to hold them and I thought when we finally got on the stage in front of the judges they would freak out. Well, we were all pleasantly surprised when we got up there and I put the girls down. Alexis stepped forward and said "hi" and waved to the judges. I told her to dance so she did a little hip shake and was so cute. Ashley was a little more shy and stayed right close to me. Alexis and Ashley ended up winning the contest for their age group and received a $20 gift card for Toys R Us. That was worth it! I put Cameron in the contest for his age group, but he didn't want to get up on the stage and wouldn't even look at the judges and flash them one of his heart warming smiles. That's OK, I can't blame him. It was a bit overwhelming! The rest of the day was fun. The kids got to do some fun activities, see lots of animals and ride some ponies. Cameron got lost for a bit and was soooo sad. So was I!!! It is the worst feeling in the world to loose a child in a public place. He stayed close by us the rest of the day, thank goodness! We were all tired by the end but had lots of fun being together!

Who's Idea was this?????

Image I can guarantee it wasn't the girl's idea! I heard the kids in their room one night laughing their heads off. When I went to see what was so funny....this is what I saw. It really is amazing how funny UNDERPANTS can be to children! I love the cute things kids do. The simple joys of life that keep me smiling!

The Roller Coaster of Life

I feel like we're on the State Line roller coaster. (I think it goes up about 13 stories or something like that) We found out last Friday, that Jared's office will NOT be moving because of unexpected remodeling costs of the building. We've been up and down and all around on what to do....stay put or still try to move up north. After much prayer and fasting we have decided to stay where we are at. When we were trying to decide I talked to Austin and Mitchell and asked them if they would pray to know what would be best for our family. The next day as we were driving in the car Mitchell said, "Mom, I prayed to know whether we should stay or move and I feel really good about staying". Then Austin echoed the same. I'm so thankful to know that our prayers are heard and answered! It would have been nice to live closer to our family who lives in Davis county, but we are where we should be at this point in our lives. You know life is like "Space Mountain" sometimes.....you never know when your going to go up or down or which direction you will go next! There are lots of surprises to keep up on our toes! Thanks to all our family and friends who have been supportive through our ups and downs!!

PUZZLEMANIA

Image Image This was our Sunday afternoon activity! Cameron LOVES to do puzzles and can do 100 piece ones all by himself. He usually likes some company on the big ones, but not for too long. He'll say, "I want to do it now. Don't look at my puzzle, go do ....(something else)" He wants to surprise us when he is done! Austin and Mitchell like to join in the fun too. It amazes me how good and quick they are at putting them together.

Brotherly Love!!

Jared and I heard lots of laughter and screaming in the back yard. When we went outside, this is what we saw. The boys were rolling down the hill ALL TOGETHER and having a great time doing it! We love to see them having fun together! Image

Enjoying the fruits of our garden now!!

Image Image After much TLC we are now enjoying some zucchini, crook neck squash, carrots, and onions from our garden! We have 3 zucchini plants, 2 crook neck squash, 3 butternut squash, 4 bell peppers (green, red, orange, and yellow) green onions, carrots, cucumber, strawberries, and 16 tomato plants! Some of the plants we started from seed and when we planted them after about a week they didn't look to good! Jared went and bought a bunch of starters from the nursery. We had to replace the 6 original pepper plants ...they all died as well as all 3 squash types. Long story short, our seedlings that were struggling, took off so we have double the harvest!!! We've been able to share with our neighbors because we have squash coming out our ears. The kids have enjoyed taking care of the garden and get excited to see all that is growing. We believe our garden is doing great because of the many prayers for it! Cameron especially ALWAYS remembers to pray for our garden and when he's done with his prayer he gets this cute smile on his face and tells me that he remembered to bless the....(then he points in the direction of the garden!) It is so cute! The second picture is of our lovely squash bugs. I went out one morning to find a bunch of these little bugs all over one of the zucchinis and clusters of tiny brown eggs on the underside of many of the leaves! I was grossed out! I called the Utah State extension and they told me I had to use a dust pesticide to get rid of them. I wasn't comfortable with that so I went to Jerry Baker's web site to look for a solution! He is a master gardener and has answers for EVERYTHING! I found a 'tonic' to use on the bugs and it works like a charm! It has garlic, onion, cayenne pepper, liquid dish soap, and water. You spray it on and within seconds those buggers are DEAD! It even works on grasshoppers and I'm sure much more!! We (our whole family) are so thankful that our garden is bearing much and are thankful for all we have learned in the process along the way!!

simplycutebows.blogspot.com

Image I love making bows for my girls!! I love to create things, so it is something brainless I can do in my SPARE time! I usually do it until about 1:00 in the morning, because that's when I have my spare time! I had a few people ask me to make them some bows, so I decided to make extras when I'm making them for my girls and sale them. I had tons of fun coming up with this new blog to show the pictures of the bows. I'm putting the link to my blog on the side bar in case you or anyone you know might want a few bows. Please pass the blog address on to anyone you think might be interested! I'm trying to save up for a boat!! No, just kidding!!!

Who's bed is this????

Image Must have been a rough night....I think Austin and I could still fit if everyone squished together. What do you think??

A little bit of DRAMA!!

Image Image Image This is a visual sample of the drama we experience daily in our home. Ashley cries, Alexis doesn't like it so she pushes Ashley, Ashley screams, Alexis tries to kiss or bite (depends on her mood), Ashley is overcome with emotion!! The roles are reversed sometimes, but this is one scenario we witnessed when we were trying to take their pictures!

Getting dressed?? Oh wait......

Image Alexis found a pair of Cameron's underpants and sat on the floor for at least 15 minutes putting them on and taking them off! Great entertainment. I just hope they were clean!!! JK..they were! Image Ashley was so funny, she kept pulling off her tank top and playing peek-a-boo. She was all giggles and was so cute!

Ready for the Olympics!

Image Image Cameron had a great time swimming in Vegas. He took some swimming lessons from Aunt Barbe and did great the first day. The second day.....well let's just leave it at that!!

Show Mommy how the little piggy eats......

Image Image Mitchell decided to eat like a piggy one night. As you can see he was laughing his head off!! We all got a good laugh with him.

Austin holding Aunt Wendy's puppy Rocky

Image Austin wants a puppy so bad, but I remind him that we already have TWO babies and I couldn't handle another one!! Maybe in a few years!!
