Christmas Eve and Christmas Morning

ImageChristmas Eve after Santa dropped off the presents......Gigi and Papa got Madison the table, Aunt Chelsea and Uncle Greg got her the tea party set and Santa brought her the kitchen!!
ImageChristmas morning!! We were ready with video camera and digital camera for when she opened her door at exactly 7:15am (she's got a built in alarm clock!). She peeked out at first trying to figure out why mommy and daddy had cameras pointed at her...then......
Imageshe walked out and saw all the goodies.......and dropped sassy and ducky quick and ran over to the toys!
ImageChecking out the table and tea party set....
ImagePlaying with the kitchen...and of course, it has a phone...one of her favorites!

ImageServing daddy tea.....
ImageWe finally were able to open other presents after playing with the new toys forever....we opened her favorites..."BOB" from veggie tales DVDs, CDs, and books! She just kept saying "Bob, Bob, Bob!". Our child is obsessed!
ImageThen, we opened the pretty princess set. Of course, she spotted the shoes right off the bat...another one of her favorites...she's a girlie girl for sure!
ImageWell, she needed it out of the box to play with......
ImageTaking a snooze in the dog's bed...BUSTED....she did NOT nap on Christmas day...way too much to do! We did catch her here though!
ImageHanging out in her new play area....
ImageWe even caught her at the "drive-in" movie this morning....she's hysterical!

We missed all our family in Texas on Christmas, but we were happy to get on the computer with everyone and share this special day. Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and celebrated the birth of Jesus with family and friends!

Preparing for Baby Brother......and More

ImageMadison was so sad she didn't get to see all our family on Christmas this year. I caught her climbing into this box and trying to mail herself to Texas. I seriously don't know how she got in this box without hurting herself!

ImageWe started pulling out all the baby stuff as we are only a few weeks (or days who knows) out from having our little boy. Of course, Madison had to climb in the swing and try it out. Hearing the music on the swing actually made Trav and me twinge as it brought back horrible memories of Madison and her reflux...she slept in the swing for like the first six months of her life!

Just Amazed....

ImageChristmas 2008
ImageChristmas 2007

at how fast time flies! We are really getting close to the arrival of our little boy. I have been looking back at how quickly Madison has changed and simply amazed that we are about to celebrate her second birthday in a couple of months! We are going to the doctor weekly now, and so far, everything is going great.

Happy Birthday Jesus - Small Group Party

ImageOur small group had a birthday party for Jesus last night. We had cake and icecream and the kids sang happy birthday! It was so cute.
Image
Image
We also read to them the story of the birth of Jesus and used this GREAT interactive nativity for them to learn about each character. One of our friends had this book with the nativity, and it is wonderful for kids to learn about the birth of Christ. It is called "What God Wants for Christmas". It goes through each part of the nativity-Gabriel, Mary, Joseph, Jesus, Wise Men, Shepherds and there is a gift box to open for each character that you add to the nativity. The last box is the gift that God really wants for Christmas. Each kid was able to take a peek before reading about the box. It has a mirror inside of it and tells how God just wants US! It is so cute! The kids got so excited when they saw themselves "inside" the box.
ImageMadison's reaction when she saw herself in the last box....precious!

Christmas 2008 - She looks so grown up!

ImageHere's my sweet little girl taking photos for Christmas this year. It simply amazes me how grown up she looks. She will be TWO in just a few months. Very unreal! She makes me laugh and smile EVERYDAY!
ImageThanks Aunt Steph and Uncle Elijah for a BEAUTIFUL dress!!!
ImageUmmm...is it me or does she look like she's taking a preschool photo here.....she is growing too fast!

December Visit with Clegg's

ImageJust hanging out with Daddy and Brody after opening presents from the Clegg's
ImageAunt Carol and Uncle Bubba sent this piano and microphone to Madison and it was a HIT!
Image
ImageWhat's in here?
Image
ImageTrav and me trying to take a quick picture before heading to the squadron Christmas party. Madison couldn't stand not sneaking in to the picture!
ImageSliding at the park....always a blast!
ImageOn our way to feed the ducks!

Madison singing on the piano's microphone. Please ignore my obnoxious "fake" laugh. She would continue to get louder and sing more as long as she had an audience laughing!!! It was precious!

308 Squadron Christmas Party

ImageA very familiar Santa was greeted with LOTS of hugs and excitement as he taxied in on the jet.
Image
ImageSanta just flew in!
ImageMadison waiting for Santa's arrival. Of course, she forgets she really doesn't like him too much so this smile turned to a frown pretty quickly!
ImageFamily pic with Santa. Madison just wants to hurry the photo so she can open her gift...Veggie Tales!!!
ImageThe adult Christmas party was last weekend. It was fun to dress up and visit with all our great friends. Becky (due March), me (due Jan...any day now!), and Amber!!
ImageTrav's parents came out to see us. Steve played an important role in the children's Christmas party....see pics......
ImageMadison was raising her arm up in all the pictures because the photographer was waving her "BOB" videos in the air that Santa gave her at the party. She was so excited to see Bob flying in the sky!!

Children's Musuem

ImageWe took Madison to the Children's Musuem on Tuesday. She LOVED it so much we bought the annual membership. She was able to paint the house blue......it changes colors everyday!

ImageShe hopped on the back of this bicycle when she realized she couldn't reach the pedals. I don't think the kid dragging her along was too happy about it.
ImageQuit taking pictures and push me around.
ImageThis was so much fun. Putting all the balls and scarves in this machine and watching the blow around and out of different areas!
ImageWalking into the musuem.....a little hesitant...but, that didn't last long at all!
