Abby Jane Comstock

We had family pictures taken two weeks ago and here is one of Abby that I love. Doreen from Creative Reflections Photography took the picture, she did a great job!

One lucky girl!

Image
Well as you all know I had Abby about 5 weeks ago, her due date was on St. Patricks day, so she was 4 weeks early. I was definitely not ready for her arrival and I'm still in shock about how it all went down even 5 weeks later. Things are now settling down and she is a wonderful baby, I couldn't ask for anything more. Wesley is now starting to realize that Abby isn't going anywhere and that he has to share his mommy with someone else from here on out. He struggled at first but with each day it gets easier. As for me, I am doing great I am tired all the time but that is normal. I'm learning how to juggle the cleaning, cooking, laundry, napping, family time and me time. It gets tough when one o'clock rolls around and I haven't had anything to eat or brushed my teeth yet, but all moms have been there at one point or another! I have just been so lucky with the help that I have received and the blessing of a wonderful family and friends. Not to mention the best husband ever who helps all through the night, cleans, cooks, and massages my feet. Yep he is the best, and I love him so much! I am one lucky girl!

Doctors orders!

Image
Well I had a check up today and the doctor said that I have gained an extra 2 pounds then what I am suppose to. She told me to cut back on the sweets, she said instead of eating a whole cookie eat half of a cookie. Half of a cookie? That is seer torture, who eats half of a cookie? So instead of eating half a cookie, I have decided to just get off my lazy butt and exercise, that way I can have a whole cookie!! :)

Sweet Tooth

Image
Well my friends I am in trouble, it seems to me that my little girl is going to cause me to gain quite a bit of weight this pregnancy. For the past month or two I cannot get enough sweets to satisfy me. With Wesley I wanted anything with tomato sauce on it, now I am constantly wanting chocolate, cookies, candy, ice cream, you name it I want it. I tried to buy granola bars with chocolate chips in hopes that the small amount of chocolate would hold me over, well it didn't. Last week I was trying to take a nap and I just couldn't sleep due to the overwhelming craving I had for some chocolate chip cookies. I got up and started baking. I decided to double the batch, because hello I wanted a lot of cookies. Well it turns out that six and a half dozen cookies is a lot more then I thought it was going to be. So after several days the cookies were gone and guess what, the craving was back. I had to make another batch of cookies to make me happy. Poor Steven and Wesley are stuck with constant goodies in the house because of me, and they are loving it! Well I have about 3 and a half months left of this pregnancy and I hope that I will find something else to start craving, like veggies :)! Wish me luck!

Family Halloween Party!

Image

Every year Stevens family has a Halloween party and since he has 11 brothers and sisters they make for pretty good parties. This year we were Jack and Sally from the nightmare before Christmas, and Wesley was hulk. The dress I wore was made by my brothers girl friend last year, so there for it was not made for me and my bulging belly. As the night went on and I continued to eat the dress got tighter and tighter. I was very uncomfortable, but I guess Halloween costumes are not made to be comfortable anyways. Wesley still has three more opportunities to wear his costume and he loves being hulk. He was growling at everyone at the party, he is so tough you know! Well I hope everyone has a Happy Halloween!

Hot dogs!!

Image
So today Steven and I were talking and we were looking at our finances. We were trying to decide on what things we can do to cut back on our monthly spending. We looked at all the bills we had to pay and somethings that were just luxuries. When we talked about our grocery shopping we decided that chips, soda and all the junk food we buy is not necessary, so they are being cut from the grocery list. Then after mentioning a couple of other items we don't need, Steven said " well I guess instead of getting the expensive hot dogs we can just get the cheaper ones". Wow has it really come to this, we can't even splurge a little and get the good hot dogs! I thought that was so sad but yet really funny! So to all you hot dog lovers out there enjoy a Ball Park in Stevens honor!!! :)
