Stephen Moore has served with WinShape for two summers and will be coming back to serve as a Team Director.  He is a junior at Covenant College but considers home Greenwood, South Carolina.  When asked why he is returning to C3 as a Director he says, ”I really enjoyed my previous two years with C3, and really look forward to working as a director.  The purpose and vision of C3 and Connect Ministries is powerful, and I am excited to work when them in order to help carry out that vision by sharing the Word of God in cities and towns throughout the Southeast.”

WinShape Camps C3 Team Director Spotlights

Over the next few days, we are pleased to introduce you to the WinShape Camps C3 Team Directors:

Brandon Cullum is a returning C3 Team Director for WinShape Camps C3.  This will be his third year to serve with WinShape.  He is currently living in Athens, Georgia and in his first year of studies for his Masters of Divinity from New Orleans Theological Seminary. When asked what he learned from last year he said, “An ant colony in your van makes for a very uncomfortable van ride.  But really the summer continually taught me how much I can’t do, how fast I can lose focus and how easy it is to fail.  Through that I was taught how to lead others.  Lead them to finding their strengths in my weaknesses and corporately run after the huge dream cast in front of us.”

Daniel Black is a senior at the University of South Carolina and plans to graduate in May with a Business Management and Marketing Degree.  Last year he served with WinShape Camps C3 as a Team Director and we are excited to have him back again for this summer.  For him the highlight from being a director last year was seeing a group of people rally around the vision of C3 and spread the Gospel across the Southeast.  Not only to kids at the camp, but to the communities themselves.  Witnessing a forty-five year old caretaker of a camper in Louisiana come to know Christ was something that he will never forget.

Look for more in the next few days…

Do you recall the video from last week?

The one where Josh made sure that KT knew he was back in the office. Where Josh decided to park in such a way that KT had to climb across his car after several failed attempts at squeezing in.

Well, the story continued.

KT parked after there where Josh could not leave. Total block move. Not even Josh’s Trooper could climb out.

Josh has a new born little girl and two other little girls. It was time for him to go home. His wife was calling. But KT said no…

NO

It was nearly like a hostage situation.

Josh plead for KT to move his car. He apologized and said he would never do it again.

All present in the office were loving the moment of humor and humility, except Josh.

The following video is take by KT after Josh has apologized off camera but remained unrepentant on camera…

Video Shoot

7 Dec

It was a big day last Friday in the story of Connect.

We had a project with Ben Smallbone of Radiate Films in Watkinsville to help us capture the Connect Story, the C3 Story, and a commision for Church Hosts of C3.

We highly anticipate the results of this video project and are thankful for the opportunity.

Below are pictures from the set.

If you are a C3 Host, be on the lookout for this in Atlanta on February 1-2!

GOOGLE WAVE AND CHROME OS

1 Dec

So I got an invitation from a friend to visit and try out the new Google “Weapon of World Domination”, Google Wave.  It’s so unorthodox in its innovation, I can’t really describe it intelligently.  However, I’ll take a stab at it.  Google Wave is an open source platform that allows anyone with a google account to have ONE screen where they interact with their community.  It is a screen that has a series of small, modifiable dialogue and action boxes.  It has everything from a Contact List box to an Inbox to an actual document that you can be updating in real time with someone else, simultaneously.  The word “wave” refers to the action you are participating in.  It can be a conversation, a blog posting, a small group report for school, etc.  Google is trying to centralize social and productive communication to their platform.  I don’t think the average joe is ready for this, but hey, email was invented 40 years ago and look where it is now…

Google Chrome OS is a whole other bag of weapons.  This video will explain it much better than me:
