I sure wish I could cut and paste what was in my mind so I wouldn't have to write it all down!
This was by far my hardest pregnancy! I thought, multiple times, during my pregnancy that she was going to come early. Crazy contractions! Turns out I went into labor on my own, but when we got to Ogden Regional Hospital they stopped. Great. Good thing we were scheduled for an induction that morning anyway. So we stayed at the hospital and didn't have to go home! I was in a panic though because she was breech. She was fine on Friday. Sometime during the week, and I don't recall when it happened, she decided to complicate things:)
I was worried that I would have to have a C-section. My Dr. came and fixed everything. It was really weird. He gave me a muscle relaxer and grabbed my stomach and turned her. It hurt, but according to Greg..."It was so cool!" Nice honey:) Glad you can be entertained!:)
More to come, but time to take care of that little miracle...
Alright I am being honest with myself...It is February! And I am so behind EVERYTHING! Not only that, but apparently having 3 children intensifies memory loss. I have contemplated visiting my Dr. many times because I just don't remember things. With that said, I hope I can write all this stuff down and not miss any wonderful details I wanted to 'remember' forever:)
After she turned they started my contractions. My contractions had stopped (Shocker) so they wanted her to stay head down. At this time the contractions weren't too bad so I just dealt with it. After about an hour I decided to try an epidural. Mine never fully work, but seem to take the edge off. I needed the edge off!:)
So...the epidural took! On one side...I was rolled over to try to get the medicine to work. During which time my labor pains intensified and I was going to loose my breakfast all over Greg's feet. Luckily I was able to take deep breaths and calm my stomach. The nurses thought it helped to shove the oxygen mask in my face. This only made me angry! Get that thing OFF my face! It was not helping calm me down that's for sure:) finally after giving me another epidural, yes 2 shots! It took completely just in time for me to push! I have never experienced a pain free delivery before. It was so weird to all of a sudden see my feet up in those lovely stirrups without feeling a thing! CRAZY!
Now was the time to push. I don't know what it is, but I always get so scared at this point. Maybe cause I pushed so long with McKinley, I just don't know. Anyway. I pushed and...she was stuck. The Dr. had to reach up and pull her out! I am so grateful I couldn't feel any of this!!! Then with one last push (and pull for my Dr.) She was here!!!
What an amazing experience! I thought I was going to die! Turns out I am blessed to live another day with another beautiful little girl!
McKinley and Kasidy love their little sister! They still get so excited to see her when she wakes up from her naps! They are great helpers! I am so lucky!
What a cheese Kasidy! She grew up over night! She isn't a baby any more! And McKinley is my huge helper! She helps Kasidy when I am feeding the baby! Thank you girls!
We took Paisley home the next day! I thought it would be fine to come home so soon, but it turns out I think I should have rested just a little longer. It's different coming home to zero children or just one little kiddo. Facing two with a newborn has been a little different. Easier than I thought, but a challenge just the same!
She is so tiny in that car seat!
Welcome home Paisley! We are so blessed to have you in our family!
Sleep tight!
On with our month! Yes life just keeps going. It doesn't stop to take a rest! I am exhausted!:)
Here comes Halloween! McKinley wanted to be Periwinkle in the new Tinkerbell Move Secret of the Wings. Kasidy Wanted to be Tinkerbell! SO CUTE! And Paisley got to be a pumpkin for trick-or-treating and a little cocoon buttlerfly for the cousin party!
Kasidy is grumpy in the picture, but the girls had a blast getting free candy!
Little Periwinkle!
Little Tinkerbell!
