Today we went with Hutch's preschool class to the pumpkin patch.  We had an absolute blast!!  It was the first day it was open so we got the pick of the patch! :) The kids picked their own pumpkin, road a hay ride, ran through the sunflower patch, petting animals, listened to Ms. Ashley read a book and played in the corn maze.  It was a perfect day.  The weather was beautiful! We LOVE the pumpkin patch with good friends.

The kids are playing upward flag football (Hutch) and cheerleading (Tess) this Fall.  Jay is coaching the flag football team. The kids are having a great time. Upwards is an amazing program that really focuses on the foundation of all organized sports.. character building and team work. The kids practice once a week also.  Games are on the weekend. Tess cheers beside her best buddy Eva.  Hutch plays with his good buddy Elijah and Kaden. They have a great time.  Of course the highlight of every event is snack time.....haha jk. We really have to pump Hutch about playing but he is getting better every game.  He is one of the youngest on the teams and just gets tired faster.  We are so proud of both of them.  They are great kids and we are super blessed.  We love them very much.

Crazy hair day at school!

For spirit week at school there was a crazy hair day. As I put Tess to bed she asked me to come up with an idea for her hair for in the morning.  Mind you, this was at 8pm at night she was telling me this. :) Well, if you know me you know I like a little bit of challenge but usually like more than a few hours to prepare. haha  Actually, Tess's exact words were "Mama will you get on the internet and "google" crazy hair styles and come up with something for me for in the morning?" Sure, Tessie I'll get right on that...which i did. Below is the inspiration pic I found on the internet.  Jay headed off to wal mart to find us some flowers and green hairspray.  I was thinking we needed fake flowers but he came home with "real" flowers.  I think it gave a better effect!!  I wrapped the end of each flower with small piece of soaked paper towel and then secured with tin foil.  Her flowers stayed beautiful ALL day.  :) I found some butterflies that were part of a Martha Stewart card project in my craft room. I covered those in glitter and glued them to some floral wire and added some green cellophane I had.  Tess was really excited about her hairdo!  It took us exactly 1 hour to complete the upward ensemble. She was very sweet and patient.... she loved it.  What a fun mommy-daughter memory for us.....

1st Grade Bible Presentation

ImageImage

When all the kids at our church enter 1st grade, they have a bible presentation. Tess received her bible this past Sunday.  She looked so cute up on stage!  She was really proud of her new bible.  They encourage all the kids to bring their bibles to church and they can all learn from the same translation etc.    Tess also is not on the preschool hall anymore at our church :(  . She has promoted to the grade school side of the building....waaaaaaaaah!
