It's hard to believe that I have a 5 year old. 5 years ago today I had a little baby, was a new mother, was still a fairly new wife, I celebrated my first Mother's Day. Here I am now, with a 5 year old. When did he grow up? How did this happen?

Kylie
Next week is Kylie's Ballet recital. She has been doing so good in ballet and is so excited for her Prince George Grandparents to come watch her, she is especially excited for her Aunty Marlyne to come watch too! I'll post some pictures next week after the recital. Here are a couple of 'Kylie' pictures. She is such a little mom, always wanting to help Jackson and take care of him, even when he wants to do it by himself. She is the greatest dishwasher unloader. Anytime I walk into the kitchen she asks if she can empty the dishwasher and does an awesome job!

Skunk
Liam's preschool class has working on a poem for their classes 'Spring Fling' next week. It is so cute so i thought I'd share. So I filmed it sideways and I can't figure out how to flip it! Dang!
Anyways,
The poem goes...
Well I stuck my head in a little skunk hole and the little skunk said 'well bless my soul' take it out...
Remove it!
Well I didn't take it out and the little skunk said if you don't take it out or you'd wish you had take it out...
Psssssss...Pee You, too late!

J
He's such an easy going kids, he only really cries if he's tired, hurt or hungry. He is becoming VERY independant. He's the opposite of Liam and Kylie is body structure. They both have long legs and shorter bodies, he has the shortest legs. He just recently figured out how to climb onto the couch and ottoman. Atleast he hasen't figured out how to climb out of his crib yet. He's not really a talker yet, he just points and grunts or sqeeks, not for lack of trying to get him to talk. When he really wants something he's say 'Mom mom mom' and usually says 'dad' when I ask him to say 'MOM'. I love when he comes over for a little cuddle, it doesen't last long but it just melts my heart. He's such a sweetheart.Posted by Sarah at 8:16 PM 0 comments

i suck
really, I want to be able to blog alot more then I have been but life has been so crazy. We finally moved...again. It's a nice feeling to know that we aren't 'renting' anymore, that our hard earned money is actually helping us too. We moved in last weekend to my moms house. We have all worked hard these past few months developing her basement. It was alot of work and we did work we have all never done before but it turned out great! I need to charge my camera and then I will post some pictures.

Almond Flour
My BF Chelsey is an amazing cook. She has taught me so much in the kitchen including, the messier the kitchen the better tasting the food :) She is very adventurous in the kitchen, isn't afraid to try something at least once and if it doesn't taste good, change the recipe to make it taste better. She introduced me to the wonderful world of Almond Flour. It's isn't cheap to order it so she even taught a tutorial on how to make your own. I am no expert in the kitchen but I followed the directions and made my own and it worked out great! Almond flour is so good for you and tastes SOOO GOOD! You can see her food blog here for this and more amazing recipes. This is my almond flour, it turned out really good!So today I hunkered down and made some of my own almond flour. Pretty easy, a bit time consuming at first but once I got in the rhythm it went pretty good. After I made the flour I decided to put it to good use and made some Strawberry Lemon Muffins. They were so good!

Tractor Tipping
I'm sure that those of you out there that have little boys, or who know anything about little boys and what they are big into you will of heard of 'Cars' the movie. Liam fell in love with Lightening McQueen and all his friend, it was like love at first sight. It's now been about 3 1/2 years since he first saw him and his love for all his car friends is stronger then ever. He has a rediculous number of cars, alot of repeat cars but he loves them all (repeats and all). You will often find all his cars hanging out at Flo's Gas Station or cruising down the highway...sometimes you will also find Lightening Mcqueen and Mater getting into trouble together, like tractor (& car) tipping. I love how much Liam loves his cars and how great or an imagination he has.

Pumping
This morning I sat down to check my emails when out of the corner of my eye I saw someone crawl under the kitchen table to hide. Upon further investigation I found Kylie with my breast pump trying to pump some 'milk'.

New Years Resolution
I am a jealous blogger, I have blog envy. I don't know how some of you out there in the blogging world do it but you blog, more often then once every couple of months. Your somehow manage to blog once every couple of days! I want to be like you, I want to be a good blogger. I am going to make a commitment to blog every week, it may not be the most exciting blogging but it doesn't have to be right? Blogging is such a great way to journal. My goal is to blog and in the end I would like to have my blog printed, pictures and all into a book. Something that myself and my family can look back at and see what life was like growing up. Some days may be boring and some words may be misspelled but I think it will be very rewarding in the end.
We had a fantastic Christmas! The kids are at such a fun age, they were so excited for Santa to come. Christmas Eve we stayed home. We had a pizza picnic on the floor of the living room and watched a movie. Then we all slipped into our new Christmas jammies, sent out the milk & cookies for Santa. Sprinkled some glitter and oats on the front steps so Santa could find his way and then it was off to bed for the kids. They woke up to a glowing tree in the living room filled with presents under it. Liam and Kylie were so excited! The tore right into everything faster then we could hand them their gifts. After presents here we headed over to Grandma W 's house for breakfast and more presents. We played a game, watched a movie and had an amazing turkey dinner.
A few days after Christmas Gramma & Grampa G came from Prince George to visit. When they arrived and unpacked it was like Christmas all over again! The living room was packed, the kids were so excited to see their other Grandparents and of course, they couldn't wait to tear into all the gifts again!
We rang in the new year with Kurt's Mom & Dad. I'm lame and have been really tired and fell asleep around 10:30 after an intense Wii boxing match.
We are moving...AGAIN. After allot of talking we have decided to finish the basement at my moms house and move in there for a while. We are not in a position to buy yet and feel like this is what we are supposed to be doing. It's been a hard year for both us and my mom, having both Kurt and her losing their jobs and taking pay cuts so it'll be a win/win for all of us. The basement is slowly but surely coming along. We are hoping to be moved in mid February- early March. It will be a cozy space down stairs for us and most of our stuff is going to be in storage but we are excited for this next step for us.

Life...
My baby turns one tomorrow. I can't believe how fast this past year has flown by. It's bittersweet for me. I feel as though the first few month of Jackson's life dissapeared. I had such a horrible recovery after I had him that the first few months are somewhat a blurr, like they happened but didn't really happen. It almost feels unfair. I was so caught up in trying to heal from my c-section that I didn't really get the cuddly little baby time with him, instead I had homecare coming to clean and bandage my wound. I was in pain and on pain killers. And now my baby is grwoing so quickly out of the baby stages. I love him so much, I love them all so much and there isn't a day, a morning or afternoon that goes by without them hearing it.
