Week 1

 Week one has come and gone...time flies when you are having fun or is it tired;) Here is a quick Birth story: I was to be induced on Friday the 18th due to my increasing Blood Pressure.  Tuesday night I started having contractions every 20 minutes. In the mean time Matt had gone to lay down with Pearse because he had a fever and didn't feel well.  The contactions were getting closer and closer, and around 4am I woke Matt up. Out of his just woken up daze Matt looked at me and said "She's coming isn't she?" We got ready and left in a hurry all the while leaving Emory's bag and our camera behind. On the ride to the hospital Pearse chatted the whole way!! We got to the hospital at around 5:15 and I was placed under observation and only dialated to a 3. The nurse called the doctor and she instructed me get up and walk and be back in the room at 6:20. Matt and I walked around the halls and the contractions became stronger and stronger!! Back in the room I got hooked back up to the monitor and the contractions were rough to say the least. I kept telling Matt and the nurse that I was hurting really bad and couldn't feel my hands and feet.  The nurse ordered me a pain pill and told me I was just hyperventilating and to breath through my contractions.  It was change of shift for the nurses and the next thing I knew I had to push.  All of the sudden there are 10 people in our room and with one push Emory was out! Pearse kept saying she was going to shoot out like a rocket and Daddy was going to catch her...he was right about the rocket part :) and Matt was thankful he didn't have to catch her.

 Pop-pop and Memaw came all the way from Abilene to visit!

 Joe, Jen, and Isla came and made a really cute shirt for Pearse to wear (I will have to post picture of it soon) Isla also had a really cute shirt on with an E and a heart! Such sweet friends!

 Thank goodness for my sister! She got a wake up call at 4am and didn't hesitate to meet us at the hospital to grab Pearse.  She stayed with him till that afternoon.  We really appreciate her being available!

 My Mom also just left this last Tuesday and I don't know how we could have made it without her! She cooked, cleaned, did all the laundry, and cared for us when we were all sick this past week! Can't thank her enough!!

 Trey, Alexa, and Abbi came and brought us dinner one night. Abbi chatted the whole time talking about how tiny Emory was. She will be a good big sister soon!

Emory really looks a lot like Pearse did when he was a baby! Emory is on the left and Pearse on the right!! Matt kept saying he didn't want Emory to have dimples because he will have to worry about all the boys...well she has them ;) 

 I am sad I didn't get any pictures of all of us in the hospital but Pearse had a virus and was instructed to keep away from the baby! When we went home Matt ended up getting the virus too and I got a mild version of it.  By monday we had to take Pearse back to the doctor and he had a double ear infection and double eye infection. Now it is Friday and we had to take Emory to the doctor and she now has and eye infection.  We are hoping this is the last of the sick doctor visits for awhile.

Pearse has adjusted well...the first day we got home he came and layed with me and told me "I really like her momma" by the fifth day he said "Momma, put her back in her tummy...make your tummy bigger"

Merry Christmas

 Pearse got to go on a little trip with his dad and meet Abbi to cut down the Christmas tree. They also enjoyed cookies and a little park!

 Thanks to my cousin Ashley she got us a ticket to see Santa early and listen to story time! Pearse enjoyed Santa Clause and told him he wanted a big spiderman and ben10.

Pearse also enjoyed going to the outdoor kids event in Richardson where they set up little houses to get a cookie from Mrs. Clause, pet dogs, try on fireman clothes, etc. Oh and watch Jen learn how to square dance:)

I am a bad blogger...

I promise I will blog more often...I hope ;)  We have been busy here getting settled in our new house, Pearse started a new school and loves it, Pearse turned 3, holiday time, and we are expecting a new baby in Janurary!!

Catching Up

Sorry we have been MIA...I have been a bad blogger lately! A lot has been going on around here the picture above is the aftermath of Pearse taking a plunge in the back yard and knocking two of his teeth up into his gums!  It was really rough and we had to syringe feed him for a couple of days.  After our first ER visit and multiple trips to the dentist they are back to normal!!

Our house SOLD and we are now in an apartment for 6 months until we find a new house!

I asked Pearse the other day on the way to the zoo what his favorite animal was and of course he said Winny! It will be a very sad day in this house when something happens to that dog!
