A change in the road...

There has been a few changes around Jeff and I lately. Some good and some not so good. So here is our little update.
Well first off the wedding date has changed. There were some important people who couldn't make the 9th so we changed it the the 2nd of October. We are trying our best to save and do a great wedding of our liking, but it is rough. I just dont know how we are going to pull it off, but I know Jeff and I know he will give me the best wedding that he can.
Jeff and I have been doing great. Great date nights, great walks, and great talks. We just recently visited my family for a family reunion is Utah and Jeff got along with everyone. We went to a rodeo and parades, also we did the whole campfire thing with mellows. It was tons of fun and everyone loved Jeff.
Well now here comes the not so good news. Jeff just recently found out his Grandma "BABA" doesnt have much time to live. She was diagnosed back in Feb. with pancreatic cancer. She is in her 60's and still was suppose to have many years to go. A little bit about Baba so you can understand the importance of her in Jeffs life...Baba raised Jeff, she was his backbone growing up in life. She was the one that was always there for him through the hard times in life and now....its my turn to step in. I just hope I can be as amazing as she is. Well we are going up there this weekend and I am so happy that Jeff can spend some quality time with her. I know Jeff is a strong man but this is a rough time for him. All the prayers and love is much appreciated.
We all love Baba so much and she is probably the strongest woman I know. She has raised a great man and I am excited to eventually become Mrs. Hamersly.

Trip to Utah..

This weekend we took a trip down to Utah for baby Lukes blessing. Jeff and I werent going to leave until Saturday, but we decided it would be nice to just get away. WELL lets just say we were glad we left Vegas, but we did miss our bed.
My dad and step mom were cleaning their carpets, so my bed wasnt in the bedroom. Also Jeffs bed (the couch) was covered by other items from the bedrooms. Needless to say we got to sleep in the man cave in the barn. We were excited because we got to sleep in the same room (in respect to the parents we dont when we are at their house). We got there around ten ish and so we were just ready to go to bed. Jeff went upstairs first then I did. Well, we had no electricity. I used my phone and we just went to bed. In the middle of the night I really had to pee. In order to pee I had to go to the house. I decided i wasnt going to...so the balcony was perfect. I was laughing the whole time, first time for everything. By then Jeff was tired of sleeping on the hidabed and went to the couch.
The next morning we had Mikies Rodeo. While waiting for it to come around this is what we did..

We headed to the rodeo and the storms came. The rodeo was cancelled. We went and visited grandma and grandpa harrod after that. When we were leaving we got ahold of Drew because we wanted to see Baby Luke. They were around the corner so they met us at the hotel to hold him. This was our first time seeing him.

It was alot of fun. We went back home and ended up watching a movie in the man cave (my dad gave us electricity) and by morning we were both on two seperate couches. Oh well. Like I said we were glad to get home to our bed.


On Sunday was the blessing..it was beautiful and alot of fun. We went to the park after and ate, played in the water, and just had a good ol time.
The drive home went quick and a great weekend!!

Its been awhile....

Jeff did get to shot his first gun a few months ago..thats the picture of the week. Jeff and I have been so busy.. So I will talk about us individually then as a couple.
Jeff has been really stressed out alot lately. He has been sick from all the stress. Physically sick. First off his job finally released their website, but there has been many ups and downs and wanting to shut ip down hoopla. His mother has been sick in and out of the hospital, so he has been dealing with that. The only problem is his mother has her files on lock down, so he is unable to talk to anyone about her half the time. He is getting to the bottom of things tho and is working everything out :)
I started a new job as a Basic Skills Trainer for a non profit called Southern Nevada Children First. Even tho it can be very stressful and hectiv I still love it alot. I love the girls I work with and they have been teaching me alot. Other than that I have been just working alot and helping Jeff out as much as I can.
We moved into a new place. Jeff and I realized our home was just to big for us and we decided to downgrade to a small but still so cute apartment. We had some friends help us out, so the move went very smooth. We have pretty much everything unpacked except some random boxes. During the move we had our bicker moments,but in the end we prevailed. We are planning a trip this weekend to Lukes Blessing and then in July to California because we promised to visit his mom.
Other than that our lives are pretty much the same. The wedding plans are coming slowly but surely. Jeff doesnt like planning much, so its just one thing here and there.

All new to this...

Jeff and I just visited Utah. We had to get away for a day from Vegas. We don't want to live here much longer, so we are looking into moving to Washington next year once we are married. We both love the weather there and the green. He wants to be on the coast by the beach. So we are thinking the west coast of Washington. There are a couple of colleges there. We are planning on taking a road trip up there in August just to see what it is like.
I got a new job at Southern Nevada Childrens First. I am a Basic Skills Instructor. It is with teen girls from the ages of 16-21 who are homeless or almost homeless and pregnant. I am really excited and up for the new adventure.
Jeff got a side job on top on his current one and it will keep him very busy. He loves what he does so the more he gets to do the happier he is.
We just celebrated my birthday. Jeff bought me the cutest frame and took me on a road trip to SLO in California. It was so beautiful and wonderful. We had a blast. Pictures to come soon.
