My love

...is a silent song.

I'm so excited for my upcoming Japan trip! A group of 6 of us will be going for 10 days to Tokyo. Should be a really fun trip :) This is also my big holiday for this year, so it's gotta be real appreciated.

Perhaps I'll even share some photos here when I get back!

ready to dream

I know I may be on a downer, but I'm still...

In an idle moment, I started thinking about things I'd like to spoil myself with.

1. I'm definitely getting a new handbag. My current bag is 5 years old and starting to look its age.
2. I'm thinking of doing eyebrow embroidery! Just not sure how to deal with the one week+ of harsh-looking eyebrows that I'll be donning right after the procedure is done.
3. Contemplating my next piercing already :)
4. Another haircut!
5. ...you know what, I don't have enough time to continue thinking about all of this :P

Okay back to work. 6:30 PM already D:

come a little closer

All I wanna know is, can you...

There's this route I sometimes take to go home after work, and on this route there is this particularly jarring pothole that I keep forgetting about. Especially since on the drive home I just turn on my music playlist and zone out. Every time I drive over that pothole and give myself a scare, I feel incredibly dumb.

Yesterday Sher spooked me a little too. I was waiting in the car outside her house cause I was picking her up to go to Taipan for yumcha. One moment, when I glanced at her house, she was standing at her front door opening the door to come out to the porch area. Then I looked at my phone for new messages. Then I looked back up again and she was no where in sight. I thought she went back in. But then I turned to the left and she was already standing at the passenger side of the car. Wtf man. Scary shit.

a fever

All along it was...

Stretched out on your stomach over the living room carpet.
Laptop on the floor in front of you - there's where you get the best Wifi reception in the living room.
The scratch of carpet against your sensitive knees.
The soft clicking of the ceiling fan above.
The sound of moving air.
The clack of fingers across the keyboard.
The sound of a dog bowl being pushed around.
The chime of a text notification.
The glow of lights from the next room.
The almost-too-warm press of a face against the cushion.
The brush of toes across cool marble floors.

slide

Bang bang...

My first rave experience at the ripe old age of 22 years old.

Day 1. We arrived at the venue.

About 15 minutes later I had already tripped and skinned my knees spectacularly on the carpeted floor of one of the exhibition booths.

I spent Day 2 of That Rave Weekend of 2013 going about with bandages on my knees...like a schoolboy!

Cool factor: N/A

keeps us right here

It plagues my mind and it...

The whole street probably knows whenever our family gets home because the moment we open the gates for the car to drive in, Silver starts to try to dart out and someone will be yelling,

"No!

Silver, stay!

No!

Silver!

SILVER!"

And the other dogs on the street start barking along with our yelling.

for the changing of the guards

or else your hearts must have courage....

I just love being freshly showered with my skin moisturised and my face smelling like roses from the mask I had on a few minutes ago. Then I can wrap myself up in my comforter and read until my eyes won't stay open and I'll just roll over, switch off the light and drop into sleep.

I've been working for a few months now. I can hardly believe it! Look at me, part of the employed workforce. I like where I am I think. I have to make another decision within the next week, but eh let's not dwell on that; it's  distressing to my rose-scented moment right here.

So recent exciting news (for me, at least) is that I've finally got my P license...for the second time! Okay explain to you, don't care whether you want to listen or not. In 2009 I got my P license. In 2010 I left to Australia so when I completed my two-year probationary period, it was in 2011 and I was in Australia. I could have sent my license back to my mum so she could help me renew it, but I was not aware that I did not have to be physically present to renew my license. So by the time I came back to Malaysia in 2012, my license was way overdue for renewal and I had to retake the road test and the skills test (the daki bukit, side parking and three-point turn) again. I took it on Monday and passed.

That's the story of how I needed to retake my driving test. Please don't ask me why didn't I renew during my holidays back in Malaysia, because I don't have an answer for that.

I'm looking forward to this weekend! Beginning my Saturday with dimsum :) I'm also very happy tonight because I found one of my camera chargers which I thought would remain unfound until the next time someone initiated a full house spring clean.

Have a lovely weekend!
