Oh, for shame! There has to be a better way! Oh wait, there is! And that's why I haven't been a very good blogger! I love the ease of creating ONE page layout per month with all of my pictures and journaling and then, at the end of the year, I publish my beautiful hard cover family yearbook. Doesn't get any easier than that!
But, just so you know what's going on in my life, here we go.
We've lived in Idaho for eight months now. You'd think that living in a house with twelve people and sharing a bathroom with ten of them would make life a series of torturous and unpleasant events. And while I will admit to the occassional irritation and constant uninhibited chaos, I also must admit that life has been sweet to us.
Jared is doing well at BSU. He's majoring in Psychology because he wants to work with troubled teens. Some people just have a gift for teaching and working with teenagers. He's one of them and I'm really proud of him. His continual drive to improve, not only his mind and circumstances but ours as well, has been an adventure. He's brilliant and beautiful and I am lucky to be his happy doting wife.
Luke is a well-proportioned blend of cleverness and energy. He's smoochie lips and bright blue eyes are enticement enough to melt any heart. We just finished a highly entertaining coach pitch season where our little man, not only wowed us with his hand-eye coordination but also his 1980's dance moves. It was awesome!
Analee, ever the princess, refuses to wear anything but what she believes to be the most fashionable. If it isn't a dress and it doesn't meet the approval of her discerning eye, it may as well not be in her wardrobe. Nailpolish, headbands, lipgloss, and flower clips are all her trademarks. However, our little doll is not so one dimensional. She is also quite athletic in her own way. She finds enjoyment in climbing the walls. Literally. Hiking up her skirts, she easily shimmies up the door jams. When she's done, she expends the remainder of her energy with her pink fur-lined jump rope.
Olivia is our lightning shock of exhuberance. Even as she sleeps, she doesn't stop moving or talking. She is boisterous, exciting, and passionate, but she is also very timid and often afraid to go out of her comfort zone to try new things. She's got a dimple in her left cheek and crooked front teeth from sucking her thumb. These two things, along with her sparkling baby blues make her irresistable and I can't help but want to squeeze her little guts.
Our last little monkey, Amilynne, is truly delightful. She is happy and funny. As she is learning to talk and function as a little person, her independent spirit is ever-present. She laughs easily and smiles even more easily.
I think I'll keep 'em all. :)
