New Sleeping Arrangements

ImageThis is Tess. Good thing Grandma's blanket has lots of good ventilation considering she wraps it around her head!

Bedtime for Max.

Yes, I do put my kids in their cribs. Max is now a master of climbing out. He seems to sleep well on the glider chair/ottoman. Do I change what I am doing? Nope, just put a step stool next to his crib so he doesn't have as far to fall! :)

Barkley

Love this pic of the two dogs lying in the yard and the twins sitting in the rocks :)

October 1999- June 18, 2009

We knew that something was wrong with Barkley. We took him to see our friend and veterinarian Beth last week and she confirmed what we suspected. He is "old" for a boxer and his heart was probably enlarged and essentially failing. He had a horrible cough and wasn't eating well the past few days and I thought he was gone this morning (I couldn't find him). After a double check, he was lying in the garage, alive, and happy to see me but looking miserable with the added heat and humidity. I called Beth back today to ask about his apparent suffering wondering if we should put him down. Before she had a chance to call me back, I found him lying in the garage, in the same spot he was this morning, and he had already passed away.
I guess I knew that he was suffering and wasn't going to live much longer, but it doesn't make it any easier. Although he was a slobbery mess, he was a great alarm system, and very protective and loving with all the kids despite them sitting on him or making him a masterpiece by drawing on him with chalk :) We will miss you Bubby!

Soccer

ImageHere's Mason with his soccer team from this past season. He enjoyed being able to play a game each week instead of just working on skills. He was very proud about scoring his first goal too!

I think Linda said she stuffed over 100 eggs for the kids this year. Luckily, we dumped the candy in our bags and left her with all those plastic eggs! I think they multiply when you bring them home. :)
