Well we still don't have a computer, but I was uploading some pictures onto my parent's computer for a Christmas project so I thought I might as well do a quick update on the ol' blog...

Things have been a little crazy over the past few months... our big news is that we moved. We were so sad to leave our first home and the amazing ward we were in, but we felt that the timing was right for the move. We are still trying to settle in and make it feel like home. We have a long way to go but are slowly getting there. We enjoyed Halloween and Thanksgiving and have been able to spend a lot of time with family. I thought I would share the cutest Minnie and Mickey that I have ever met ;).... Halloween we went trick or treating in our new neighborhood and it was so fun! It wins the award for best Halloween neighborhood. We went down a whole street and every single house was participating and even a lot were set up on the driveway and the front yard. Cruz was fighting everything about the holiday until he realized that we were getting free candy. After just a few houses he became the most avid trick or treater on the street! He is for sure my sweet tooth kid. We had cousins and grandparents over and got to end the night with a bowl of chili at Granny's. Don't know when the next update will be, but hopefully we can get a computer soon :)

Broken

I so wish this was true... Broken computer part is which = crappy blog, but instead we have a house full of boxes and chaos. We just moved and are thrilled about the house but I have vowed we will never move again because it is so much work! Hats off to those who do it so often. Some day we will get settled and I will have to post some pictures :)

So our Easter bunny was a little more generous than usual. Santa wanted to bring Cruz a basketball hoop but Mrs. Clause said the rule was that he had to be walking to get a hoop... so Santa brought a little truck and the Easter Bunny got to do the spoiling. I think that the Easter Bunny was more excited than anyone else for the hoop. ha ha. We had a wonderful day spending time with family and remembering our Savior.

dear braverman family,

tuesday just aren't the name without you. i have never actually been addicted to a show in my life and could honestly say i would be just fine without the tv in my life... until now. how i love your close-knit, full of drama, would do anything for each other, and crazy family. your family dance parties remind me of growing up with my brothers and sister. i can't wait until next season.

by the way, i had to borrow my dad's laptop to work on a project and the added bonus is that this is what has allowed me to do all this blog catch-up (that wasn't the original project for which the laptop was intented), but it has been nice getting to do a little catch up. thanks for always being willing to let me borrow your stuff daddy!

so taye lynn comes out of my room the other day and had found these beauties in my drawer. my first pair of glasses back from 5th grade. yes they are purple and hilarious. so when tyson got home from work i was leaning against the doorjam all sexily with these bad boys on. we had a good laugh... and then we all tried them on. i wish i had a picture of me in them back in the day. tyson is going to kill me that i posted the picture of him. good times.

Zoo Trip

A couple Saturdays ago my sister called and invited us to join them at the zoo... Well Tyson usually works every Saturday but the weather was soo nice, and we hadn't been able to have a "fun Saturday" in way too long to remember, so Tyson made arrangements and we went as a family. So fun to actually get to hang out with our Daddy besides when the sun is down :) And let me tell you, having Tyson there to help out with the kids made the whole zoo experience way better than it usually is with just me and the kiddos and no double stroller.

Alright, so sick kids threw off my little blogging streak I had going on, and I mean little :) but I am going to keep on truckin...

With Cruz's birthday being so close to Christmas, I was a little stressed to plan a big party... but I had to buckle down and go all out so he wouldn't look back at pictures later and think I loved Taye more than him, because her first birthday party wasn't lacking any details :)

The party turned out exactly like I had imagined in my head...

well my kitchen just might look like a pharmacy and you might not want to come too close... went to the doctor.... two seperate appointments and two long waits in the waiting room later....

diagnosis:

taye lynn - pnemonia and an ear infection

cruz - RSV and double ear infections

my poor babies are so sick and we are having loads of fun doing breathing treatments around the clock for both of them. counting my blessings of healthy children and cannot wait until they are feeling better.

p.s. i think we have watched our tv allotment for the entire year in just this weekend alone. i have never been more grateful for gabba.

Cowboy Cruz Turns One

Well, I am always calling Cruz my little Cowboy, so I had to throw him a Cowboy party for his first birthday. It was so fun and I loved these pictures I got as I was trying to make his invitations. Isn't he the most handsome cowboy you have ever seen?
