Kindergarten!!

I am now a school age kids mom ... unbelievable. This has been a transition but a lovely one. Tyson has powerhoused through the changes and LOVES every minute of school. He has blown me away with his enthusiasm for learning so far. He wants to do his homework, loves to get up and get ready to catch the bus, he can't wait to give us his daily report ... how long does this last?

We went from lazy days of summer to non-stop school days. We jumped right in to extra curricular activities, Tyson football, Dakota dance and Jaxson has asked to play T-ball ... here we go! We have to wait for the Spring for Jaxson but he is ready!!

I remember when I thought I was busy ... it was a different kind of busy. Laundry, diapers, bottles, laundry, diapers bottles, did I say laundry, diapers bottles. That kind of busy is well behind us, on to the big kid kind of busy. We are just getting started.

First day of school!

Yes, I am the mom that got on the school bus and took my kids picture ... We have to remember these things!!

Summer Part II

We were lucky enough to have some very special visitors a few weeks ago. I can't say enough about the Naville Family. They are amazing people and we are so grateful for their overnight stay. I can't get enough of them and wish we could see them more.

These two (Amelia and Jaxson) are more then precious.

I can't get enough of Eli

I miss this girl ...

We followed up their visit with a trip North to visit Grandma and Grandpa Jones and family. It is always interesting packing the family for a week long vacation 4 states away. Don't think for a second my husband is going North without his dirtbike and 4wheeler. AKA - 10 hour drive, 4 States North, 3 kids, pulling a trailer ... well we survived. It was actually a fairly uneventful drive and our visit was fantastic!

Father's Day 2012

We spent Father’s Day doing what made sense ... everything the Fathers in our family love to do!

Camping, dirt bike riding, cooking out, making s'mores and homemade ice cream, spending time at the lakehouse and on the boat. It was a packed weekend with tons of outdoor activities.

Grandpa and Grandma Rose have recently purchased a RV and the whole family is reaping the benefits. We drove to a nearby “sportsman resort” (not sure the word resort belongs but that is just me) after loading up the ATV’s and dirtbikes for the weekend. The “sportsman resort” consists of hundreds of miles of trails, plenty of racing tracks, tons of camping sites and way to much dirt … we had a blast!

Tyson and Brian ready to hit the trails ... it amazes me to watch these two together ... nothing else like it ... two of a kind!

Image

Dakota had more fun putting her helmet on and "sitting" in the UTV ... my kind of girl. "Note, less than 2 hours after this picture her Aunt Melissa and I managed to get the UTV stuck in the mud and had to call for help to pull us out ... classic. Next time maybe I will just watch."

Image

Jaxson observing ... he cannot wait to join in with Tyson and Brian ... they are growing so fast!
(I have no idea why this picture is sideways but this is the way it uploaded)

 Love. My. Family.

We are having a blast. Thanks to my husband for being such a wonderful father. He is full of love for our family and it shows. I lean on him everyday for support and he never fails me. Love that man ... (yup, had to get mushy for him :)

To my own father, he continues to support me through all of my decisions. He is there for my family and loves my children. What more could you ask for. Thanks Dad ... you are pretty special to me.

To my father in law. He has continues to show me how to slow down and take in the little things. He really enjoys life and loves to have fun. I learn more from him than he knows. Thanks Mike, it is the little things that matter. ( P.S. I know if he would have been there to see me stuck in the mud, he would have been proud!)

Till next time!

This Summer

You will be able to find us here ....

Image

As I process the fact that Tyson is starting Kindergarten this fall ... I will be taking the summer slow.

Just a few weeks in the sun ... and check out how blond Jaxson is already ... this is just the start to a wonderful boating season!

Dakota continues to be our most outgoing personality ... this picture says it all ...

Baseball season ended for Tyson, his team finished 5th overall ... he showed so much improvement this year. We were very fortunate with a wonderful coach that allowed each child to really shine. I was so impressed with his ability to find what made each player successful. Great season!!

Quick action shot of Billy ... the North Cobb Varsity team made it far in the State playoffs ... another season that ended on top.

Birthday Weekend

Happy Birthday Jaxson, Dakota and Grandpa Rose ... what a day to celebrate!
These two add so much joy to our lives. They have so much personality and love to share with everyone around them. They are truly a blessing ... two incredible little people.

Dakota Rose, born @ 1:02 AM April 21st 2009
4lbs 9oz

Jaxson Thomas born @ 1:12 AM April 21st 2009
4lbs 1oz

Now ...

Jaxson is full of energy. He runs all day, never takes a nap, crashes at night and sleeps until he is ready to do it all over the next day. He is NOT a morning person. Completely opposite of Dakota. He is very independent and watches his big brother carefully to learn. He has very little fear coupled with slightly accident prone ... not a good combo most of the time. He is a trooper, takes a fall like the best of em'. He is very mechanical, constantly taking things apart and putting them together. He is a righty. He loves the boat and wants to wear his bathing suite everywhere! He dislikes most foods but loves cheese, yogurt, milk ... pretty much a dairy kid, and don’t forget anything sweet. We are seeing an ENT about his tonsils and adenoids. He snores like a grown man and can't breathe well out of his nose. We were told this could cause food to taste bad and suppress the appetite … might be the underlying cause to a lot of his eating problems. That never seems to stop him! He is an amazing little guy … pretty much perfect!
Dakota has become quite the princess lately. She is fairly laid back, opposite of her brother. She is a lefty. She in very much a morning person (the 6 AM kind of morning person). She still sucks her thumb, just can’t seem to break the habit. She does not like her milk anymore, but loves her salty foods. She is 4 months free of any cyclic vomiting spells but still on medication to control it. She loves playing dress up, having tea parties, playing with her babies. On the flip side she can play in the dirt with the boys and not miss a beat, and had to get a “Tinkerbell” skateboard so she could keep up with the boys J. She loves sunbathing outside and wearing her sunglasses. She is definitely my little girl, her feelings get hurt easily but she is quick to console. She LOVES anything related to fairies, butterflies, flowers and PINK. She is such a beautiful little girl … pretty much perfect!
They had a Dr. Seuss birthday party ... tons of fun!

Spring Break 2012

Spring Break 2012 was a huge success. We spent a wonderful week with family and friends. This was the twins first time at the beach and I was pleasantly surprised with how well they did. We relaxed to the max and enjoyed every minute of it.

The Cutest beach babies ever!
