Sunday is Family Day!

With all of the rain last week we were happy to get outside with the babies and Tyson on Sunday. The weather was perfect for a nice walk to the park ... and Daddy put Tyson to work, washing the Van!

We don't take our Sunday's lightly! Basically it is the only day we have to spend together as a family ... we have to appreciate all of the time we get to be together ... all five of us!

The babies are smiling all of the time and making the cutest little baby sounds! They had their 3 month weight check on Monday. Dakota passed Jaxson up again ... She is at 10 lbs! Jaxson is following close behind at 9 lbs 12oz ...! They have changed so much already and just keep getting cuter.

Tyson news! He is using the big boy potty! He is doing well, and loves his Thomas the train underwear. He has really stepped it up the past few days, asking to go. We tried big boy underwear outside the other night ... well, he was not ready for that yet. To much going on and he forgot to tell us he had to go. We will have accidents ... we just will ...

Here is Dakota ... looking cute as ever!

Check out their ride (try pushing that around the mall) yep, that is why I don't go to the mall.

Tyson on the potty ... wonder who he learned this from ... (smile, laugh!)

He was soaked by the end of the car wash, but he had fun!

He kept washing what Daddy would rinse. Needless to say the van was squeaky clean!

Our Fearless Toddler!

Tyson's day out with Mommy and Daddy! We took him to King's Island on Sunday! The weather was perfect ... or in other words, I am so happy it was not 90 degrees standing in line half of the day in NickJr. Land :)

We started out with Scooby Doo's haunted house ... nothing scares this little guy! We had a little hiccup in the morning when Tyson decided to drop his shoe under the helicopter ride (note to self: Thomas sandals are not the correct shoe attire for Kings Island) After they alerted the ride supervisor (a 20 something grad carrying around a clip board looking mighty important) and several attempts to grab the shoe without having to climb under the ride ... they ended up climbing under the ride (he could have saved himself 30 minutes)

So without further ado ... the pics!

Loving the bumper cars ... "Hey, who put a speed limit on these things" - Tyson

He had to have the only brown horse on the whole ride ... and how cute he looks!

Really ... no fear ... we rode this a few times ... off the ride and back in line we go!

Tyson told us he drove the race car and got "muddy, muddy"

Not so patiently waiting in line anymore ... almost nap time!

Daddy's shoulders and a little hair pulling made the little man happy!

While we were out having a good time at the theme park, Papaw and Nana Rose were spending time with these sweet babies!

Working Mommy

It is official ... first day back to work ... check!

I have to thank those that got me through this day.
Thanks to my incredible husband! He went back to work when the babies were just 2 weeks old. He is a pro at this parenting/working schedule. He has always been part of the night feedings and never missed a beat during the day. Truly, he has been my inspiration that this can be done .... and we make a GREAT team! I am blessed to be married to such a hard working FATHER!

Thanks to my parents. They are able to spend some time with us for the next week so that we can keep the babies at home just a wee bit longer. The first morning worked out just perfect as they were available when the babies were ready to eat and I had to head out the door!
Thanks to Brian's parents. They came and spent this past weekend with us. I was able to get out of the house and run my last minute errands on Saturday, while Janeen and Mike spent time with the babies and Tyson.

Thanks to everyone that helped me prepare mentally. All of the encouraging e-mails and messages are appreciated more than you know ... keep them coming!! I need the momentum from all of you!!

Here is a brief look at what the night/day looked like:
The night before
8:30 PM - feeding
9:30 PM - down for bed
The morning
1:30 A.M. - feeding
2:30 A.M. - back to bed
5:00 A.M. - showers
6:00 A.M. - warm bottles and pass babies to Nana and Papaw
6:30 A.M. - Out the door
The work Day
7:30 A.M. - at work
8:00 - meeting
11:30 - training
1:00 - conference call
(in between cleaning out an inbox of over 1100 emails!!)
4:30 - out the door
6:00 Home!!!
7:00 feeding
(We did get to eat dinner because my mom had it on the table when we got home!!)
and then it starts all over!!

So here is the question of the day?? WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO WHEN NANA AND PAPAW LEAVE!! I will let you know in a week or two :)

So here are a few pictures to share!
Brian was practicing for his Mr. Mom duties on his off days. (Sorry the picture is fuzzy ... took it on my phone but it was to cute not to share)

Time Flies ...

Lately all I can think about is how fast my days go by. As my friend Aimee described it so well "Don't you just feel like Groundhogs day?" EXACTLY! I can hardly complain ... as I would be completely content continuing this "Groundhog Day" .... but .... I can't ... so ... back to work it is. One more week and counting. I am amazed at how quickly my maternity leave came and went.

With going back to work quickly approaching, I wanted to make sure and introduce the twins to some very close friends before they start daycare. A group of us from high school still remain very close! It is great to have people you grew up with share moments with your children. We can all think back to the crazy things we came up with to keep us busy once we hit sixteen ... I don't even want to think about my kids being sixteen ... YIKES! Really, I think we were pretty good kids! But we still got into some mischief ... besides the point (nothing to crazy mom, I know you are reading :) So off to Indianapolis we went for an overnight stay. I was really nervous about taking the twins on the road by myself. I went during the week to meet the girls for dinner and my good friend Aimee (who also has twins) graciously offered her home to me for the night. Daddy stayed home with Tyson. I was not ready to travel with all three of my children just yet. I think Aimee was more worn out by the next day than I was. See, her twins are almost two, and they were very curious about the babies. I am used to this behavior with Tyson, so no worries. They were so cute wanting to play with the REAL baby dolls! Aimee set her alarm and got up to help me with the middle of the night feeding ... THANKS AIMEE! I had no reason to be nervous about anything, the night went very smooth!

Here are some pictures from the trip!

Amanda spending some time with Jaxson. Amanda and I were pregnant at the same time, Ben arrived just 12 days after Jaxson and Dakota. She looks great and Ben is a cutie!!

Other pictures to share ....
Big Brother ready to go outside and play! The fourth of July weekend was so rainy ... we missed a cookout due to the rain and Tyson was ready to go outside once the sun came out!

Image Mommy with her babies! Sometimes I am amazed that they are all mine! Brian had another out of town trip for work. Lesley, a friend from college came to spend time with us while Brian was away. Lesley, your help was very appreciated!! We loved seeing you! She snapped a couple of pictures for me ... I feel like I never get any pictures of me with the kids!! I did not get any pictures of Lesley and the babies ... dumb move!
