Christmas Day 2019

Christmas looked a little different this year in many ways. One main way was that I started to get the flu the day or so before Christmas. Usually we are enjoying the Christmas festivities nearing Christmas day, but it hit me hard and I was not able to do much. Bebe came and visited two days before Christmas because Pop Pop flew out to L.A. to the premiere of Jamie's fan film KENOBI. It was a major hit and he was so glad he got to be there for such a cool moment for Jamie. Neither Bebe or Pop Pop had ever been gone from Charleston on Christmas day, but they spent Christmas morning with us in Gainesville (because Pop Pop flew back from LA into Atlanta Christmas Eve) followed by breakfast at Jen and Joe's house before heading back to Charleston to celebrate with the rest of the family there.

I was out for the count all day Christmas and the following few days I barely left the couch. Usually I have lots of pictures of Christmas morning and Christmas day of the kids enjoying their toys but it was not going to happen this year.

Here are a few of what I got... and a couple from gingerbread house making the next week.

Christmas Card 2019

Every year finding a good time to take our Christmas card picture is challenging. We have so much going on around during the holiday season with kids' end of the school parties and plays. Added on to this year, my finals and our house being on the market, it was an even bigger challenge.  I was able to take picture, order cards, and get them printed the week before Christmas, BUT... I never sent them out. The plan was to then just make sure they went out by the end of the year, however, I got the flu and basically there was no chance after that. So, MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!... from the Kimseys!!

Christmas Season

With the Christmas season in full swing, we are enjoying all the fun that comes with this time of year. We had a BEAUTIFUL Thanksgiving lunch at Jen and Joe's new home, Piper and Clay got to head to the Nutcracker, I am finishing up Anatomy and Physiology, our house is being shown a LOT more than expected (given the time of year) and we got to go get our Christmas tree, which is always a treat for all of us!

Here are just a few pics...

Halloween 2019

I absolutely love trick-or-treating with the kids, but this year was a little different. Halloween morning it was in the 70's. Then when we left to head to a Halloween party it was in the low 60's. It dropped into the 50's while we were there, and by time trick-or-treating was in full swing, it was in low 40's with a wind chill of 34! Yikes! I was frozen. And our poor kids had on flip flops! The boys were not phased a bit. They spent the whole night with a crew of their friends running through the hood as fast as they could. They said they were actually sweating! Clay and I drove the little ones around in the car when I had reached my frozen capacity. Once I was well heated, I got back to enjoying this sweet little time that we still have where they love the excitement that comes with Halloween.
After they had hit up almost every house, we headed back home to pour out candy and start the "negotiations"/trading. I love it. Here are a few pics before we headed out...
