IT'S GREAT TO BE EIGHT

Image Isn't he so cute. He was really excited!
Image Robert, Jake and I after his Baptism. The Primary Presidency gave him a lei filled with all sorts of nummy treats.

Image Well Jake is my youngest and last to be baptized. I was so excited that he made this decision. He talked about it for the last year and the day finally came. His Aunt Lisa came out for his "special day" and was able to speak at his Baptism. It was well attended and Jake had us all laughing quite a few times. Robert had practiced with Jake at home on how he would be dunked under the water and how to hold his dads hand. However, when the Baptism prayer ended Jake thought his dad was going to talk to him before he went under the water so he was not prepared and choked on the water a little bit. Also, the water was a wee bit cold. My husband said it literally "took his breath away". When Lisa and I were talking about his baptism she just laughed and said, "That wasn't a baptism, that was a circus!"

Image Jake has never really had a birthday party outside the home. He kept reminding me of this and told me he was old enough now to have a "real party." So we let him choose and he wanted to go to Big Al's this year. He ended up having 8 friends show up and it was a lot of fun. They all bowled for an hour and then spent time playing in the arcade. The most challenging for most of these little boys was what to buy with there tickets. Decisions, Decisions.

Happy Birthday Jake - Your 8!!!!

Image My youngest has turned that exciting age of 8. I can't believe the years have gone by so fast. Megan took him to the park today after school while Dad and Mom made him his dinner of choice, "STEAK!" oh yes, with Ceasar Salad and twice baked potatoes. Our family had a nice quiet dinner and he got a rock tumbler for his birthday. (Also, a request) Although, after opening it, he seemed a little disappointed that to turn a normal rock into a shiny one it is going to take about 3 weeks. I love you Jake. I love your smile and your laugh. I love it that you still like to snuggle. I love your hugs and kisses. I love listening to you read to me. I love your funny stories and Jokes. I love everything about you. Happy Birthday.

Cousins

Image This was a cute picture of the cousins. I just had to post on my blog as they grow up so fast. They have such good imaginations when they get together and get along so well. Notice Dylan's lovely boot.

Unfortunate Event

Image Unfortunately during Megan's tournament Dylan managed to break his foot. They had a skate park there so Dylan spent quite a lot of time on his skate board. However, when it was time to leave he decided to borrow someones scooter and try and jump over something. Well needless to say it didn't go so well. He fell and got up and was limping. He told me his foot was hurting a bit. Well by that evening it was pretty swollen and turning pretty colors. I took him in on Sat. morning before Megan's next game and sure enough it was broke. He cried and was so upset because he wanted to go back and skate some more. This is not the best way to start the summer. I'm sorry Dylan.

Soccer, Soccer and More Soccer!!!!!

Image Megan had a soccer tournament this last weekend. Her team did incredibly well! They won the first game 4-0, won the second game 3-0
Then had a loss of 2-0. They still went on into the semi-finals and played a good game. The score was a tie 3-3 which then went on into overtime of two 8 minute halves. After that it was still tied 3-3 so it went on to penalty kicks. Unfortunately the team lost. They fought hard for two hours of intense soccer in the heat. This was a premier level tournament and the girls proved they could play at that level taking 3rd place overall. Good Job ladies!!!1

Happy Father's Day!

Image We had a really nice Father's Day this year. The young women in our ward made Father's Day baskets that could be purchased as a fundraiser for girls camp. I bought one and so Robert along with many Dad's at church all were wearing the same tie that came in the basket. It was fun. We had my brother Micah, Starr and the kids over for dinner and we had a b-b-q. We also were able to celebrate my niece, Brittany's birthday. She turned the big 11. It was a nice and relaxing day for Robert. We love you and Thank You for everything you do for our family.
