Hiccups

She has arrived!

Danelle was born on Wednesday Dec. 19th at 5:39 pm!! She weighed 7 lbs. 5 oz. and was 20 in. We are at home now and everyone is doing very well!! As requested here are pictures or our darling little girl!

Change of plans...

Well she went from having "dropped" to breech, so we're on our way to the hospital right now for a c-section! She'll be here in about.... oh an hour!

D.C. Temple Lights

The temple lights were beautiful this year and the visitor center had so many gorgeous nativities from around the world! Such a neat temple!

He's Here!

No, not our baby, but my sister did have her's on Tuesday morning! Chase Russell, 8 lbs. 21 in. Yeah! That means i'm next! *and I might add my baby has "dropped" but no dilating or anything else... I just hope my labor and delivery goes as smoothly as hers!! Congrats Jensa!!! And Ava LOVES her new baby brother!

Black Friday Shopping

So i'm slowly becoming converted to the whole online shopping world. I used to never buy anything online for the fear of not "seeing before buying" and having to pay shipping cost. *Note that i've married a man who bought a truck off of ebay several years ago (and actually made money selling it a year later)...But with recent gas prices i've pretty much ruled out the shipping cost becuase it's almost a wash, and having gone out early this morning for my 3rd time "Black Friday Shopping" (9 months pregnant may I add) i'm not really convinced it's worth the hassle or lack of sleep. If you've never checked out: woot.com it's a must!! I'm so sad I missed out on the really good purchase of the day, an iRobt scooba that was $99, but they were all sold out when I tried to get one this afternoon! And to think Lane would have had his christmas shopping all done with!!!

My favorite quote of the morning had to be from a lady in line at Kohl's: "Geez, if i'm going to stand in this long line i'll have to get some more stuff to make it worth it!" Ahhh, our consumer economy at it's best! Happy Holidays!!

Ready to Shop!!!

So this is it- Lane and I are ready to go on our "Baby Shopping Spree". We've made it to within 6 weeks till she'll be here and I think that's about time to start getting some stuff. We need everything from the crib and carseat to all the little things too (like has anyone purchased/used a nursing cover?) So if you have any recommendations on what you loved with your first, or babies in general, PLEASE tell me! I've done some research, but I feel like I still don't know what the good products out there are!!!

NFL Monday Night Football!

Go Steelers! We went to the Pittsburg Steelers/Baltimore Ravens football game on Monday in Pittsburg. Lane's Dad, Sister and Brother-in-law also came with us, coming down from Boston. We had nice tickets that Lane got from work that came with parking passes so we got to tailgate with all the diehard Steeler fans. They ended up winning 38-7!!!
The city is actually quite gorgous! It's sits right where 3 rivers combine, and they have tons of cool bridges!

Autumn in small town Pennsylvania

This time of year is so nice out here on the east coast. Different from Utah that's for sure, but pretty in it's own way!

I was so excited to have a baby shower thrown for me by my sweet friend Valerie! I'm sorry none of my family could be there but it was still so much fun!

Halloween Parade

Maybe it's just me, but I didn't know that places did Halloween Parades, but out here in the East a lot of towns do them. It's actually kinda fun. They do it at night, and everyone dresses up and they of course throw out candy from the floats for the little kids. It's been a tradition to have a party at our friends house who live right on the parade route and it's quite the event!

Home Improvement Projects

These are our recent house projects. Our weather has been awesome so we've been trying our best to enjoy it. Last weekend we went camping with some friends (forgot the camera, sorry no pictures) and lately Lane's been doing a lot of landscaping, and inside house things like this bookcase that he built from scratch!

He also got me that nice wall clock for my birthday so we finally got that and a few other things up on the wall after being in our house for over a year!

Now we just have our long list of things to get ready before the baby comes! We seriously haven't bought a thing yet, and we're down to about 2 months left!!! I'll be sure to put up pictures as we get the babies room done though- that i'm looking forward to!

And as soon as I hit my 30 week mark (on Friday) i'll be sure to put up another "belly shot"!

We're getting closer...

Well I had my last (hopefully) ultrasound the other day at 26 weeks and so I thought i'd make an attempt to post them. One of these days i'll get to a scanner and get better quality copies of the ultrasounds, but for now blurry photos of them will have to do! *the top is from 26 weeks and the bottom (I swear she's smiling) is from 22 weeks. It's kinda crazy that next time I see her, it'll be face to face!!! I can not wait!!! Now if only we can come up with a name... any suggestions?!!?

Our Busy Week!

So this last week (and weekend) was a little busy for us. We took off for California for my Grandpa's funeral. It was nice to have all of our extended family together, and being 95, my grandpa had really been waiting for this for quite some time. So luckily it was a happy family reunion. It also worked out that I got to be there with all of my family for my birthday, which hasn't happened since high school!! It was so nice to relax and go to the beach and spend time with my family- not to mention to get to show off my "starting to show" belly along with my sisters! 25 weeks and counting!!!

One of the "Hobbies"

Lane's new favorite thing to do out here on the east coast is go ocean fishing. His friend that takes him goes about once a week so there's never a problem finding an opportunity to go! His real passion is still fly fishing, but cathing 50 pound tuna isn't bad either! And yes, those are real fish. (I had to take a picture of a picture on the top one since we don't have a scanner).

PENN STATE Football!

We finally got in on the Penn State football action! We went to the season opener and it was a ton of fun- especially since they won. People here are big time Penn State fans- and it was fun to remember all the USU football games we used to go to every year! * see if you can find the "S" for penn STATE in the crowd picture on the top right...

"The slowly but surely growing belly"

As promised for my family members, here are some recent pictures of the expanding belly- one from 19 weeks, and the top one 21 weeks. I'm learning that I can still wear stuff and not look pregnant, but it's also tricky to get that "pregnant look" instead of that "chubby look".

It's a Girl!

The video Lane took during the ultrasound and it's showing her head/side profile looking up, and you can see her mouth moving!

After 40 mins of doing the ultrasound, we were finally able to get a glimpse and the Dr. is pretty sure that we're going to have a little baby girl! It was so fun to get to see the baby move around, and everything looks normal and healthy. We are so excited- it seems much more real now! I was secretly pulling for a little girl, even though surprisingly just about everyone could of sworn it was going to be a boy, even Lane. But my sister just found out she is going to have a boy so we're all covered! *and i've been able to feel kicking the past few days!!!
