Flowers for Mom

Before we headed out of town last weekend, I had some sunflowers in a vase that were past their prime. I was in a hurry, so I threw them out in the grass in the backyard and thought I'd put them in the compost pile later. I forgot about them, but a little someone discovered them for me. "Mom, I planted you some flowers!" What a special surprise and sweet little boy...

Charlie loved watching from his exersaucer on the patio. If any of you can look me in the eye and tell me this child looks like me, you're a liar!

Lake Bums

Whew, last week was busy! Little William, Charlie, and I went to the lake early last week for a few days. Then William went straight to Texas to visit MiMi and Grandad. We picked him up on Friday and headed back to Limlodge for the weekend. The Dickins joined us for the day Saturday, and the kids had a ball! Fun times and good memories...

Of all the things to do, of course they find the one small space with a dirt pile to play in. :)

Those boys get to run around with their shirts off, so I can too! Amelie is the cutest stinkin' thing ever, and she can hang with the boys like it's nobody's business!

Love this picture (minus the redneck trailer in the background)....Sawyer, William, Amelie, and Jack

Highchair

We haven't been up to much lately. Dad has been in the hospital for about 10 days now, and finally had his gall bladder removed yesterday here in Little Rock. We are hoping the surgery will relieve the pain he's been having for so many months and that it's unrelated to his tumors. He was in Russellville for about 5 days. Anne and I were both there with our kids, and we took turns between going to the hospital and babysitting. 5 kids under the age of 4 is something else, but all the kids had so much fun! Wish I had taken my camera. The two babies got to be around each other, and it was interesting to see their reactions. There is definitely a "pecking order" with Mary Ellis, William, and Tollie....the older one wants to tell the next one what to do. Lots of fun, lots of craziness, and one exhausting week!

We just started putting Charlie in his high chair and he loves it! Big brother couldn't stand for me to take a picture without him in it, so...

ImageThe next picture is of William when he was first in his high chair. I always have people asking if the boys look alike or different, would be interested to hear what you all think~
