Four Months

 Ah, sisters.

Last night I gave Riley Roo a bath and we watched Alex (Madagascar) before bed.

 My two special girls -- I can't get enough of them!

 Brooklyn is officially four months old today.

She loves playing with her fingers and toes.

She is a good eater and a great sleeper.

Brooklyn loves her parents and big sister, and the puppies too.

We love her so much and cannot wait to watch her grow and blossom into a sweet little girl.

And in remembrance of 9/11 yesterday, I got myself some patriotic flowers at Kroger. 

Sometimes you just need flowers to brighten up a space.

Brooklyn's Tuesday Mug - Week 17

 Happy Tuesday from this little wiggle worm.

Brooklyn's outfit was a gift from the sweet DeRoo family.

It's hard to see, but there is a giraffe on her left side.

I just love how cute and chubby she looks in this picture.

 In fish news, we put everything in the tank and will let the water stabilize for a few days before we pick up the new tenants.

I am totally digging the black light and the "glo" aspect of this tank.

Riley's Monday Mug - Week 3, Labor Day, and Zoo

 Boy, it felt good to sleep in today.

It's always nice to relax and not be rushed in the morning.

I wish we had more Mondays off!

 Today we made a family trip to the zoo.

The animals were all very active and it was a beautiful day.

 Riley seems to be in awe of the polar bear.

 I've never seen this before!

 If you look really close, you can see the giraffe's tongue sticking out.

 The wolf reminded me so much of Griffey James.

 The flamingoes are a huge favorite of Roo's.

 Watching the sleeping cheetahs.

 The elephants were doing an enrichment task.

 This little blue eyed beauty was SO good today.

 This happened after we left the zoo...Roo was zonked!

 So daddy and I stopped at Tim Horton's to indulge in a chilly treat :)

 We put Riley to bed after dinner, and Brooklyn stayed up with us to watch the Ohio State / Virginia Tech game.

Weekend Shenanigans

 Yesterday I attempted to put Riley in this cute OSU dress for school.

Only to discover that a 2T dress was HUGE on her. 

She must have been so annoyed with the sleeves falling off her all day.

#OutfitFail

 Riley wanted me to take her picture before bed last night.

I spent years struggling for her to pose for pictures.

And now she is finally starting to do it for me without any prompting.

 Brooklyn slept in one of these sleep sacks with no legs.

It makes diaper changing a breeze!

I love those sweet, chubby little cheeks!

 Today we went to get one of Riley's *belated* birthday presents.

We agreed to get her a fish tank, plus Jim has always wanted one.

 We picked this up at Petsmart, set it up, and then determined that it was too big for the counterspace.

Needless to say, a return trip is in our future. 

And we will be bringing home the smaller tank.

 This girl cracks me up!

I put on her Maumee Police temporary tattoo, and she wanted to show me her "big muscles."

Riley's Monday Mug - Week 2

 After the excitement of a busy weekend with company and a birthday party, it was nice to get back into our routine this morning.

Roo is absolutely loving her Frozen bear from Aunt Maggie.

My SIL recorded a sweet message for Riley that plays when you press the paw.

I can probably recite it word for word -- that's how often she is pressing it!!
