Dang a lang a ding dong

It's June and this is my first post of 2012. Holy smokes this year has flown by. Well, we at the Mehrdad household have been living, working, learning and creating so much, that we have failed to blog. There is tons of material to blog about, of course. 

Petra is getting sassy as ever. Sometimes it's hard not to laugh when she's sassing me. She is quite honestly, one of my favorite people in the whole world, needless to say. 

Carmen is becoming quite the student. She loves doing her homework. She's writing and drawing better each day. She also loves to dance and she flutters about wherever we go. 

I could just bottle this time up and bask in it forever. I love it. I'll post some pictures soon but i've got to download them :)

Anywho, 2012 is shaping up to be an awesome year and the Mehrdads are enjoying it quite a bit.

Well, I've been dropping that blogging ball. Quite a bit has happened since the last post.

Carmen had a dance recital.



We hatched some lady bugs and butterflies.







4th of July in Vegas.

I changed jobs.

We had an Austin Family reunion at a cabin in Utah.







Busy at work.

Went to New York for work.



And the girls are changing like Crazy!!!

Carmen was the flower girl at Shay's cousin's wedding a couple months ago. She and Petra wore beautiful dresses and for some reason i didn't get a lot of great pictures of them at the wedding, so I wanted to make sure I took some pictures of them in those dresses at another time. So today, Janna and I went out and went picture crazy. Here are a few of my favs.

Webcam!

I really love the webcam. And I have periodically taken pictures of myself with Carmen and now Petra with the webcam over the years. And one of these days I'll make a book because it is so awesome to see the progression of how they have aged. And it's also so fun (and bittersweet) to look back and remember what they used to look like. But on this particular night I wanted to compare my little girls and see what they looked like at the same age. So, tonight I show you 2 pictures of Carmen and 2 pictures of Petra, aged 18 months. I wish they could stay this age forever. Of course, Carmen's conversations at her current age are quite hilarious.

has the rock embedded deep within her soul. she put on a concert for petra and me last night where she rocked out live from petra's crib. petra and i were stoked and cheered very loud. it was awesome.
