Babies babies babies

They had their 4 month well check visit today, a little late, but hey whatev. Nicholas is now 14lbs 1 oz., 43 centimeter head, and is 25 inches long. woot! Eric is 14lbs 14oz, 43 centimeter head and is 25 and 3/4 inches long! They are doing everything perfectly pretty much and are just amazing babies!

A lot of stuff has happened recently! Nick and Eric are now 4 months old and 3 days, woohoo! My mom flew back home, and on the same night Nicholas got very sick. We ended up taking him to the emergency room around 7 pm on tuesday night, because he couldn't keep any food down at all. I was worried about him getting to dehydrated, and hungry. We left Eric here, and while we were at the hospital, he too began throwing up all of his food. Awesome, right?



Poor Nicholas! They first tried to take blood from his arm...which didn't work, but they poked him there, and so then they tried the other arm and that didn't work either, so then they jabbed him in the foot. They had to massage his heal over and over squeezing out all the blood they could into a vial and it seemed like it took forever and a lot of sad crying. Nick was a trooper though, and the worst was yet to come.



They decided that they wanted an x-ray of his chest. I had no idea what an ordeal x-raying a baby was! I was practically crying as they strapped him into this plastic tube with his arms over his head. It was the saddest thing I have ever seen.



In the end it's a good thing they did that, because they noticed that he actually had a little bit of pneumonia starting. So I'm glad we caught it now. They had to give him a big shot in his thigh and of course he cried some more, but with medicine he's ok :) Eric seems to be fine, but I have a good hunch that he has started teething. Which makes him very fussy sometimes, like this morning when he was starving, but he wouldn't take the bottle.



The happy news is that last night Eric rolled over onto his stomach all by himself! He gets closer to sitting up by himself every day! what can i say? genius babies!

So the babies are asleep and I don't really feel like cleaning anything...so I'm going to fill out this survey instead from Kizzie.

What was your best month? I'm going with December, it was a happy time.

Favorite Night out? hmmm the night Ryan took me to Across the Universe...there were a lot of fun nights tho

Did you get sick this year? Yes, pretty much the first 3 months, and the last 2 months of the pregnancy, plus about a month ago, ryan had to stay home with me, and I had a midnight run to the emergency room...overall, I really haven't been very up to snuff

Anywho, my mom should be getting in town tonight, we have to go to a funeral. Even tho that is sad, it will be fun for her to see the twins again! We just barely got their 3 months pictures back yesterday, I'll try to scan them in today!

Christmas went very well! Ryan gave me a second band for my wedding ring and I was very surprised. :) The babies got a very good haul for their first Christmas. We got them little bears that said "Baby's First Christmas" and a few new sleepers, a bumbo seat and new binkies! woo! My parents gave them pop up books and Ryan's parents gave them a fancy new toy, plus some really big monkeys. We blessed the babies Sunday night and it was very sweet. Anywho, I hope everybody had a good holiday and a Happy New Year!!!!!
