"I'm proud to be an American where at least I know I'm free and I won't forget the men who died who gave that right to me! and I gladly stand up next to you and defend her still today, cause there aint no doubt I love this land! GOD BLESS THE USA!" (cause we're gonna need it with obama as president....) I love this time of year! I think the 4th of July is my favorite holiday! Every time I see the flag like this being marched down the road at a parade with such patriotism it literally brings tears to my eyes. I was driving down the road the other day and passed a house that's whole sidewalk, driveway and yard was lined with flags. we're not talking little ones, they were flags that are about the size of the flag in this picture. I just thought that was so cool that someone loved our country like that.Image

"Image"Love you daddy" she kept saying!

These were the 4th of July festivities...... actually held on the 3rd in the evening. Calie and Shawn had us up to his Grandparents who live right on the road where the parade is and then after they have a big bbq and light off fireworks! it was a blast. Calie and I painted the kids faces also, they loved it!Image

So Pleasant Grove had it's annual Strawberry Days! I love this! I remember this as a kid and I have never taken my kids to a carnival... pathetic I know. My mom and dad obviously had more sense than me so they came and got the kids and I (corb was working) and took us to the carnival. this is Maycee and Crew riding the Dragon rollercoaster. they loved it! and wanted to go again.Image Okay okay so this is Maycee and I on the farris wheel I got suckered into it! Im afraid of heights like nobody's business but I didn't think that my mom could handle both Mayc and Crew.... Okay honestly she probably could've but I would have been sick thinking about Mayc falling out the whole time! She wanted to go so I went with her. it was okay until we hit the top and then the panic set in! It took me a minute to calm down. Mayc kept saying "it's alright mom look we're buckled, we're safe mom."
Image Crew went with my mom. this is one of her favorite things to do with the grandkids.... ride the farris wheel.

My dad was a lucky one and got to watch Idalie while we rode the farris wheel. He loved every minute of it! (I caught him off guard with this picture.) He took her and bought her a green slushy. He said that she was drinking it so fast and she looked at him and grabbed her head and said "burrrrrrr cold! OUCH!" and then grabbed it and just kept drinking! what a funny monkey!

These are my cute little kids! We took these pictures for fathers day.. just the ones of the kids and they made him a flower pot with their hand and feet prints on it and then we made big flowers coming out of it on green sticks with their pictures in the middle and filled it with his favorite candy! They are so cute who wouldn' t love a present like that! pictures of these cuties and candy, what more can you ask for!Image
